Orryyrro: Ah, okay. anyhow, if we do have someone who is able to check players roles the best course of action probably would be to check mine, as Damnations confession could be to throw people off of me. (it isn't, but it easily could be)

I'm pretty sure you don't need the lecture, but others might: Godfather is a mafia role that usually appears innocent to cops. By asking for a check on his alignment, he gives himself away as town or godfather.

Hmm, I was unaware of this, as this was the first mafia game I've played, and I don't believe we were given details on the possible roles. I think this may give some credibility to Damnation's story.
I have the horrible feeling that Damnation is actually innocent. If this is the case, then Rooshandark 8 is my primary suspects. His comment right after we thought Damnation was lynched seems ti imply he knows something. I don't like the whole 'two votes' thing either.

Based on their reactions after we thought Damnation was lynched, I believe Orryyrro and GoJays2025 are both innocent.

GhostQlyph: GoJays is my new suspect, Orryyrro is definite scum: Damnation's gambit is an awful ploy to save Orryyrro, he gave out his real role because it'll soon be visible regardless.
Bring it on! :p

I dunno, I thought he could have been telling the truth because it was just so... weird, but the more I think about how Damnation would just suddenly destroy a game like this just because he didn't get along with Ghost the more I realize how absurd that is.

Well, he's definitely working an angle. Even if he were telling the truth it wouldn't ruin the game, look at how much it has us doubting it already. Although, if he is innocent it is an excellent way to build clues for the rest of the town to use.

I'm 100% certain he's scum. Even if he wasn't though -- "build clues"? If he's innocent, lynch me and that's that. Any of the red herrings he gave are garbage. You keep looking more and more like mafia.

Oh, and GoJays? We will deal with this like civil human beings.

I somehow feel the same way. Though roosh's post seems strange and stir some suspicion. Stil I just can't grasp Damnation claims as real. But I can't figure out why he's done it.
Also from what I have read and heard doublevoters are usually townies. Though I have no experiences.
Seeing as the Jackday celebration didn't start until late in the afternoon, there was little time for hesitation. Damnation soon came under the spotlight - for a Jack he seemed strangely annoying, and was hard to like. After a quick discussion the rest of the guests came to the conclusion that being annoying and hard to like was pretty much the antithesis of being a Jack.
Seeing the crowd charging at him, Damnation decided to take matters into his own hands. He pulled a gun he had holstered under his coat, on which was engraved "Guns don't kill people, video game murder simulators kill people", pointed it against the roof of his mouth, and pulled the trigger.
*click*
A deafening silence filled the room.
Seeing that Damnation was still alive - evidently the gun wasn't loaded - GhostQlyph stepped up, pulled out his own gun, and pointed it at Damnation. "Here, let me help you with that."

Searching through the dead man's pockets, nmillar soon came across a wallet. Inside was Damnation's business card.
"Huh, no wonder we didn't like him."
"He was a scumbag, right?"
"Oh, he was a scumbag, alright - but he was our scumbag."

Damnation has been lynched.
He was Jack Thompson - Town Vanilla

It is now Night 1.
Night actions are due within 48 hours from this post, by 02:00 UTC 26th of March.

As you come down to the main hall, you can see a blonde, effeminate man on the floor - dead. Upom closer inspection you find that he was seemingly killed from one or two blows to the neck. There must have been a tremendous force in those hits - his neck has snapped.

nmillar - Jack, better known as Raiden - Town Jailer - has been killed.

It is now Day 2.
With 10 alive it takes 6 to lynch.

Given that he's innocent, this makes you look more likely to be a townie.

Thanks for the confidence.

As I said to Damnation, whose lynching I still stand behind (he was doing waaay too much mafia stuff, like that last minute gambit would only have ever been mafia under any circumstance I can think of) since my vote was wrong I'll reconsider everything.

Vitek is my new target. GoJays, upon a re-read, was acting townie in manner -- he did give reasoning. Vitek basically went with "Oh man so much happened why don't you lynch Damnation" without putting in a vote himself. That could be town behavior, but it reeks of mafia. It's like bandwagoning except the bold doesn't stand out as much. Not townie behavior, imo.

Bazilisek gave reasoning as well, but for the opposite side. He's on my list of suspects. Even now, with the knowledge I have, I cannot conceive of WHY a townie would react like Damnation did. It does not make sense to me and I feel the majority will agree. Plus mafia gain confidence by keeping townies out of their votes. The conviction in the reasoning gave me a "I know for sure" feel, and that screams Mafia to me.

Jesskitten is odd. There is reasoning and town-friendly behavior, but loads of bandwagoning and "safe" votes. Jesskitten has a lot of experience, as well, and could possibly have caught on to their "styles" between town and mafia, and consciously started avoiding standard mafia play. Another suspect, but bottom of the list.

Lastly, I'm calling Typhoon out. No posting at ALL practically and yet has been active as hell in the other game. If I had to pick a certain mafia target after a lengthy series of re-reads and re-evaluations, it's Typhoon. The only reason I'm not outright pointing my witch-hunt finger his way is so I can see if he'll respond before burning him at the stake.

Yes, I was of the belief that either you or Damnation were mafia and the other was town, however, that comment made me believe that you were of the same alignment as him, good cover if you were both mafia, but well reasoned if he tuned out to be a townie.

GoJays does seem a little suspicious, as does JessKitten.

I've been thinking about his inactivity that entire time too, and thought it was very odd. I'm pretty sure he was online during all that Damnation-related craziness. The only thing that came to mind was how eyeball said last game that he just liked to sit and watch as the town turned on itself. I'm glad somebody else agrees with me.

I'll vote Typhoon45 to put some pressure on him to respond.
