N0x0ss: Just wanted to congratulate Vitek on his gameplay. You were the perfect anonymous ally I was counting on. Congrats to all other townies and very well played !!

GameRager: Yay.....we won! Question: How did you seemingly know you'd be killed after NMillar died/was lynched, even though you didn't have a power role? Just curious. Was it just a feeling as you claimed, or something else?
I did not predict my death as much as I provoked it ^^
I even hinted I might have a role...
That way. no mafia in his right mind would spare me if his partenar has been lynched.
I did this in hope of Sparing the true cop if we indeed had one (Was hoping we had one since we had a doctor, but to tell you the truth did not expect Vitek to be the cop.)

Night One PMs

To Gazoinks:
Awakened by the spirits growling in his belly, The Hungry One woke up in the night. He went out of his hut to find a way to appease them when he remembered the ordeals of yesterday. Some of the other Elders must be awake as well.
He went over to a hut belonging to one of the other Elders, and sat quietly in the shadows of the nearby trees watching its entrance, patient as a jungle cat on the hunt.
The moon rose and fell again, and nothing stirred in the hut. The Hungry One stood up and returned to his dwelling.

You have watched N0x0ss. No one targeted him tonight.

To Vitek:
Talk to me, great Rāmatawhāiti, for I must know. Talk to me and reveal the secrets of Men to me. He Who Watches the Sky was sitting on the beach, his eyes following the movements of the stars.
I am here, said a voice right behind him, quiet yet commanding. Watch.
On the sky, the stars started fading away, only the brightest remaining. Like buzzing bees, they were flying through the night, tracing above the sea a likeness of one of the Elders.
Here is a good man, said the voice. Him you need not fear.
He Who Watches the Sky rose and went back to his hut.

You have investigated Planeshaper. He is Town.

To aylien:
He Who Doesn't Like Fish is a caring Elder. He trusts in Men more than he believes the Gods.
As everyone rose from the fire, He Who Doesn't Like Fish stayed behind, watching where the others went. He chose the Elder for whose life he feared the most. Tracking his footsteps in the soft soil, he passed the beach and arrived at the Elder's hut.
The island was quiet but for the endless chattering of insects. He Who Doesn't Like Fish sat in the dark, watching and waiting. But nothing happened in the night, and as the moon fell from the sky, he rose and returned to his own dwelling.

You have protected Vitek.

To matti1996:
He Who Wears Beads is a vessel filled with fire. The Dark Elders have spoken. The will of the Dark Elders shall be done.
In the darkest night, when the jungle beasts sing their song of hunger, He Who Wears Beads crept to the hut of the Elder who was destined to die. Staying in the shadow of the trees, he watched as the Elder, restless and uneasy, went out of his dwelling to sit on the cool ground and chase his dark dreams away.
He Who Wears Beads came closer. His hand struck. The Elder fell.
Back to his dwelling the Dark Elder went, the spirits of anger laughing merrily within him.

You have killed Planeshaper.

Night Two PMs

To JoeSapphire:
Sleep did not come to The Hungry One that night. The tribe was in danger, there was no time to waste. And near the hut of one of the Elders, he knew sweet fruit was growing, ripe for picking.
Perched in the branches of the fruit tree, he felt happy and elated. Between mouthfuls, he was watching the hut, hoping to uncover the darkness that was choking the tribe. Yet the hut was still, and he saw nothing.
Having eaten his fill, he climbed down the tree and went back to his hut. He slept soundly for the rest of the night.

You have watched Vitek. No one targeted him tonight.

To Vitek:
Standing on the sand of the beach, still warm from the blazing heat of the dead sun, He Who Watches the Sky raised his head to read the message from the Gods.
The stars were looking back at him, unwilling to share their mysteries.
Then the booming voice spoke. Behold, it said. The Truth is revealed.
A face of one of the Elders appeared above the sea, clear and bright. There was deep malice in his stare and cold was the starlight in his eyes.
Are the stars saying this man does not mean well, asked He Who Watches the Sky, yet no reply came. The God has left him. He sat on the sand deep in thought. He knew now.

You have investigated boct1584. He is Mafia.

To boct1584:
Alone with his dark thoughts, The Hairy One went to the hut of He Who Listens to Trees. The moon was bright and the path through the jungle was clear, as clear as the hatred he felt.
The Elder was in his hut, asleep and careless. He thought the Gods would protect him, but he was wrong.
The deed was done and The Hairy One left. No one will know. The Elders are weak.

You have killed N0x0ss.

boct1584: Also, I'm pissed about matti being modkilled. If he was still around, you guys would likely have no idea he was Mafia, and he'd still have a chance.
He brought it upon himself. It's true he was successful in laying low but he was laying too low to stay in game. In fact I think he just left.

Thanks. If only you ptried to tunnel a lot less than you did, you could be probably very good. You nailed scum here but had you any idea about other scums? And nmillar could very well be town, your initial case was just too flimsy.

I think Joe was tracker or watcher, because he called nmillar for lying and there was ninja to avoid such role. EDIT: Too late. :-)

Ironically, my second choice after nmillar was Boct ^^ And I did state it was out of spite and because he had number like matti :P It's a lame excuse, but I always trust my instincts !

Well, I have to admit you were right and if your instinct was so good, you should stick ot it. But it was pain to play with you. :-)

So you thought/hoped we had a cop and volunteered yourself as a "victim" of sorts to possibly prevent their death once/if NMillar was lynched? Quite commendable. :)

BTW who did you think the cop was previously(and why)? Just curious.
Idle musings time:
All in all, it wasn't a bad game. I'm still very sorry about a certain event that disrupted day one, though the game recovered from that one fairly well. A much greater problem was the chronic inactivity of many players, and, as chance had it, two thirds of the scum team. Perhaps I should have been setting stricter deadlines, but then again, those always result in completely unreadable lynches and aren't worth very much. I don't know what combination of factors causes this; I wish I did. It's been a problem with GOG mafia games for some time now.
I have to compliment Vitek and Joe on their perfect decisions on night two. There was no way the mafia could have wiggled out of that double combination, and it won the game decisively, even though things looked pretty bleak for Town earlier. And it was very interesting watching N0x0ss's remarkably powerful intuition combined with an exceptionally disrupting style of play, too :)
Of course the most controversial decision which definitely affected the game very badly remains the double modkill. I still believe that under those circumstances, this was the best of several bad decisions available to me, though people may have different opinions on that, obviously. Finding three replacements at a very short notice proved a very difficult task, not to mention the fact that basically stopping the entire game until those three get the chance to read up would have completely killed what little momentum there was.
(And hilariously enough, I've received complaints from members of both teams who felt the decision was unfair towards them. Can't please everyone, I suppose.)

Anyway, the goal of the game was to acquaint some newbies with the mechanics of forum mafia and show that it can be a fun experience, and I think it mostly succeeded in that. I've enjoyed writing the flavour and most of the time reading the game as well; I hope everyone had a good time playing it.

That's all from me for now: go ahead and celebrate.

Hey, I may have tiresome methods, I may be wild, but it gets the job done !
Heck, I'd sacrify myself in real life for the sake of my village !

The truth is, you have to be agressive and follow your guts when you're a vanilla townie... you have no strength otherwise and anybody can lead you into the abyss :/.

And I may add that the game is pretty boring for vanillas... as they constantly have a feeling of uselesness...At least I did, and it probably drove me to act and participate more than a simple townie would.

Looking forward for the next game...I've got plenty of strategies I wanna try out ^^
Hey!! You finished the game while I was at stupid rehearsal!

I LIKE to think that even if I didn't KNOW that Millar was lying the mistake he made while claiming would have been just as provoking.
But yeah I did have the advantage over the rest of you.

Did the victims not get a "you die" message Baz?

JoeSapphire: Did the victims not get a "you die" message Baz?
Not a flavoured one. Just a plain old out-of-the-game "you're dead, want to know the answers?"
I need to boast myself a bit. Out of 9 games I played I won 6, lost 2 and 1 game was abandoned.

@ViolatorX: I can tell it to you as you are already seasoned player. You were terrible this game. I still stay by my case against you and you failed to explain it sufficiently.

@GameRager: You improved during this game a lot. If only you stopped to keep disappearing over and over again.

@bazilišek: Thanks for modding

@All who weren't replaced or modkilled: Thanks for playing.

@Joe: You were only short time in this game, haven't doone much in terms of gameplay but I just like to play with you. :-)

@Our illustrious god: Sorry for saying we need you. I bow before your power and admit we don't need you at all. :-p

Yes I noticed that. I was pretty proud of myself. So jealous that Vitek gets all the glory. ¦p

But for the bad juju it would have been perfect. No doubt about it! Wonderfully written and brilliantly simple.

I agree! I actually think you played very well! Astounding luck aside. You put a lot of energy into the game. If everyone played like you did I thinkour games would be a fuck of a lot more entertaining!

Vitek. Let's team up again sometime.

EDIT ^Ahh! I wrote that before I read this

Vitek I have such severe cyber-bromance for you. I cannot wait for Cyber Saint Mecha-Valentine's day to shower you with cyber-gifts

Yeah, that was kind of borne out of frustration - both my scum buddies were absent for long periods of the game. :/

If you are speaking about me, I wasn't complaining it's unfair towards town but toward game.

I understand you probably had to resort to this but at that time it really made me to lose interest in this game and it took some time to recover.

@Vitek: I would have posted more in the past, but I was either busy with IRL business(Part of this was/is due to my mental problems.) or had mental issues/difficulties which led to me not being able to do much besides the basic day-day necessities. For that, I am sorry.
