I am Zuul. Are you the keymaster?

Sword of the Stars: The Pit - The Pilgrim DLC, bringing another playable character and more content into the game--DRM-free on GOG.com, for only $1.99.

In Sword of the Stars: The Pit - The Pilgrim DLC the word of the ancient Bloodweaver facility travels to the stars in hushed whispers and shadowy conversations, and thus Enoch The Shepherd, a holy warrior, must investigate. As one of a small, unique, but growing group of Zuul, determined to leave their savage birthright and terrible reputation behind, Enoch isn't descending into The Pit out of curiosity, but out of obligation. Whatever evil is still down there, it is on him to witness it, record it--and then purify it with fire.

Add another layer of cool content to your adventures in The Pit with Sword of the Stars: The Pit - The Pilgrim DLC for only $1.99 on GOG.com. Be advised: this DLC requires Sword of the Stars: The Pit - Gold Edition.

JudasIscariot: Just say the word....3 times :D

JMich: Bird. Bird? Bird!

That is the word, right?
You think I'd be that predictable? :D

Well, you said to say "the word" 3 times, not "the magic word".
Well if I keep posting in here I'm going to lose my third star at 8:30 am rather than losing it at 9 am every morning like I'm used to, so I'm gonna cut out for a bit, update SotS, and have some coffee. :D

because bird IS the word.
Bought.

Though I am a little disappointed in how this is being marketed. I bought the Gold Edition, which historically is equivalent to a Complete edition, only to have to buy another DLC to complete the package.

That being said, it is more than worth it in my opinion, it is just a bit confusing/irritating, if you know what I mean.

JudasIscariot: I put up a flag for the Gold Edition installer so I am not sure why you aren't getting the update. Please click the link for your Gold Edition installer and you should see setup_sots_the_pit_gold_2.3.0.19.exe in the Save As... dialog window :)

If you don't see that and you have everything The Pit-related here, please let me know :)
It gives me setup_sots_the_pit_gold_2.3.0.19 for download. I just re-checked my GOG.com Downloads folder and there I have the setup_sots_the_pit_gold_2.2.0.18 installer (downloaded 5 days ago). But no update notification on the site. Good thing I was to lazy to install the DLC right after purchase ;P
I also haven't gotten any updates notice about The Pit for some time.

I'm with the guy who said "screw the Gold naming, just bring on more Pit content!"

I don't see any updates or anything different on my game list for the pit.
What version do the games have to be in order use the new dlc?
or is there a (better) different way to update sots?
This game is all confusing haha
A suggestion to developers - If you want to make more content for your game, that's fine. If you come up with something really cool, or if you want to put out more stuff just to grab more cash, either path's all right as long as the content doesn't suck and you're not being blatantly greedy bastards about it. But, please, for crying out loud, restrain yourselves from throwing the Gold Edition tag around until you've given it a few months and decided that yes, the game is completely done with no more little bits and pieces to add. Put all the bits together, THEN call it the Gold Edition. Just more sensible and it adds some simplicity for consumers. It looks like a bulimic projectile vomited .exe's into my SOTS folder right now.
Why so negative, folks? Seriously, I can't wrap my head around why some people feel the need to complain about this release. If you enjoyed the game, then this release means you receive another 1GB or so worth of extra content, for about 2 dollars ( or ~1.49 Euro ). On the other hand, if you don't like the game for whatever reason... why would you even care about this release?

I've only played the main game so far, and have yet to try any of the expansions, but I have to say it's one of the best games of the genre, so I'll happily spend the few extra bucks to support the developer.
I have already sent off an email to support, but I just thought I would throw this out to others to see if anyone else is having the same thing pop up in their catalog.
I have two (2) copies of SotS in my catalog. One is the original with all the downloads, the second (advert.png) is a copy of the Gold with an advert to go and buy the Gold edition that according to the GOG system I did not appear to own until I got home today, even though both of these have been in my catalog all weekend at least.

The irritation about the version naming I can understand, at least to some extent. But then, maybe the developer didn't plan it like this, either. It's entirely possible they never intended to release so many expansions, but the game turned out more successful than they anticipated, and the fanbase kept asking for more new content, so there...

Understandable, and I'm glad they're continuing to put out more content. No serious problem with them, just me nitpicking on the whole Gold Edition means complete edition thing that I think might be annoying/irritating/confusing others a bit. Now redownloading the different files so I can have everything in better order when it's time to purchase this.
Why release a gold edition when you have more DLC in the pipes? What a scummy move.
Wow. Does this additional DLC character, 8 new monsters, and ~24 new items/armor in pixel graphics really net 1.1GB of file size? There Pit DLC packs seem way too large.
