Give us a 100-character Witcher story. Win official The Witcher t-shirts and wolfhead medallions!

Andrzej Sapkowski's fantasy saga upon which CD Projekt RED's The Witcher universe was built, consists of five novels. The legend of Geralt, however, began with a 1986 short story. Even in his very first feature, the white-haired monster hunter was already a complete and fully-developed character with unmistakable personality and demeanor. It's amazing just how well the debuting author managed to define the hero and his reality in such short form. This was 27 years ago, though, and the current forms of communication have taken a turn towards haiku-like limited form. It's amazing what people are able to convey within 140 character limit. One might imagine, that nowadays, you could see a complete fantasy short story in under--say--100 characters. In fact there's an example of one, just below this post (or, if you're reading this in our forums: here, on our Twitter).

Do you think you would manage to squeeze a Witcher story within 100-character limit? If you think you can, tweet it with the #GOGWitcherStory hashtag. That's 100 characters of the actual story + 16 characters of the hashtag. Alternatively, you can give us your story in the forum thread below. Naturally, the 100-character limit applies here just as well. Two entries per person tops (each of them still needs to be a separate, self-contained short short short story). Prizes? Of course there are prizes! Authors of the 3 best stories will receive exclusive The Witcher: Wild Hunt t-shirts, and wolf-head medallions. 4 runner-ups get just the medallions. All the winners will also get one $5.99 GOG.com gift-code, each. The deadline for submissions: Friday, October 18, 9:59AM GMT (the GMT part is important!).

Need some inspiration? Buy any game from GOG.com until Thursday, October 17, at 9:59AM GMT, and you'll receive a free copy of the classic The Witcher: Enhanced Edition. All set? Get creative!

ENTRY 1:

In a world ruled by men, there would always be plenty of monsters to kill. Geralt wiped the blood off his steel blade.

ENTRY 2:

A witcher doesn’t take money for killing the monster; he takes it for having to deal with the humans.

My first story entry is entirely made up of game titles where every initial forms the title of Witcher:

vvvvvv/ittle dew/thief/chaser/heroes of might & magic/etherlords/realms of chaos

My second entry is a more traditional one:

In the shade of a perpetual void, Geralt loses sight of the road home in a forsaken world.

"Witcher? I barely know 'er!" Zoltan roared with laughter at his own joke. Geralt looked grim.

jigrou: ok here is my second attempt

A beast attacked a maid. Geralt killed it with his blade, and for his aid he once more got laid.
Well said ;P
My entries:

A girl asked me once if she could be a Witcher. I told her she could, but she needed 2 swords, in case she loses one.

The mutant was spared, not because he was innocent, but because he was the lesser of two evils.
One try:

Geralt charges forward and weaves his sword in an art of death. The blood of the fallen is the paint, his face the canvas.
Burning breath illuminates the night, claws n' scales shine bright, an ancient curse awakens flight
He gently unwrapped his head, watching two orange spots scathe the lakebed.
Still unfamiliar...

1) Geralt, the mutant slayer of beasts, legend in life & death lives once more to avenge a lost legacy.

2) Witchers were wondrous warriors where wanderers whimpered wiltingly within wicked wildernesses.
My second run:

Lilac and gooseberries, alabaster skin. I love her and want her, our destinie's entwined. She's off to fuck another magician....

Dandelion promptly dove through the window. He'd suffer for his art, but damned if he'd die for it.
second entry:
"How did you fare with that green woman?" asked Zoltan. "Call me Captain Kirk," grinned Geralt.
My initial writeup and first attempt:

"This is where my life started." He sighed as the shadows slowly crept in, filling the room with darkness. Kaer Morhen was in ruins now of course, but still a trove of bittersweet memories, memories which now served as a reminder of how resilient his trials had made him.

His menacing smile slowed the approaching beasts. Their senses told them their prey was wounded with no escape, while their instincts screamed at them to retreat. "I'll be damned if it's where it ends."

I then read through the initial post which I'd skimmed and saw it was not actually a limit of 100 words. Derp. After much swearing at myself I reduced it to ~100 characters, lost the gist of what I was writing completely though.

This is where my life began
he sighed as the shadows crept in.
I'll be damned if it's where it ends.

Second attempt!

"There are many kinds of monster" thought Geralt, as he wiped his blade clean of the client's blood.

My two attempts:

He walked into a dwarven bank and asked Vivaldi for a short term loan. What an inventive suicide.

I'll wait here until you decide who is the monster and who gets to pay me. Flip a coin.
I'd like to share also my idea:

Witcher nonchalantly entered a barn full of pitchforks. Destiny wasn't impressed.

The second story:

One witcher, one fool,
One king, one rule,
One blood, one girl
One fate, one bear.
