himselfe: I'll be honest, I'm usually on the anti-naysayer side when it comes to people resisting everything GoG does that doesn't involve old games, but looking at Cruse's site it's easy to see how anybody could be paranoid. I mean seriously, who makes a fixed height website? Very suss, very suss indeed.

nijuu: Obviously they did :D. And i guess it works for them and makes money for them (whether its good or bad from the customers side is another issue i guess)...and they are supposedly big and growing. ....
There are some strange people in the world, but the ones I find most strange are those who take an obvious joke seriously.

ucfalumknight: I find it odd that Curse has nothing at all abort GoG on their front page.

Bloodygoodgames: They announced it almost 2 weeks ago.

The internets move far to fast for me...
What the hell is this website? Is it games? Is it curses?

Titanium: Plenty of hints, brother. Plenty of hints.

G-Doc: No hints whatsoever. Again, you're looking for things that aren't there. Please don't make us write to you guys in legal-like bullet-points that leave no place for interpretation. That would take the fun out of bluetexting :-(

Also, going back through the thread, I came across this question:
OMG, System Shock 2 confirmed. =-P
I found it painful trying to read through some of these posts looking for the answer to this question;
I don't have a Curse account, so how does this affect me?

It doesn't affect you unless you get a cursed account. I think then you might get a free game if you sign up, but I've no interest in getting a cursed account, so I didn't read the terms.

It doesn't.
I made a bacon sandwich!

F4LL0UT: Took a look at the site and I still have no idea what it does and what its purpose is. If anything I'd love to see GOG.com team up with Gameranger for more online multiplayer support in old games.
Agreed. Something like Gameranger would make much more sense to give older titles on GOG multiplayer support.

The only reason I even know of Curse is because they manage a few wikis and sites around the web like the Terraria Wiki, the Minecraft Wiki, etc...
Hey, discontented conspiracy nuts who think every cross-over business deal is a plot to ruin your lives! Stop wasting your time on GOG announcements when you could be devoting your unbridled paranoia to such sites as

http://www.abovetopsecret.com/

and

http://artbell.com/

You will be embraced with open arms there @u@

I've got a bad feeling about this.

Desjay: Curse.com started out as a site for WOW addons/mods, then they decided to charge a premium fee to download mods that people were uploading for free.
Other (and much better) WOW Addon sites allow you to download for free.
Curse.com is aptly named because they are a money hungry sack of crap who can't be trusted.
Yes, and some people are now worried and unhappy because "GOG recommends its users to use their services". It is obviously a marketing stunt, but falsely executed, which has happen before on GOG.
I hate recurring expenses so thank you but no thank you :)
