The buzz around GOG's closure and re-opening has slowly faded away and we wanted to sum up the beta stage with a special gift for all those who have been with us during that period. Two years ago we began our revival of all-time PC-gaming classics for all you fans of good old games. Through ups and downs we’ve received a lot of support from the best community we could ever imagine (that’s you!) and we want to thank everyone who’s been with us through our beta stage with a special gift.

Any user who created an account before we closed down the site and moved out of beta (that's September 20, 2010) will receive Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games for free! We'll be adding the game automatically to your accounts during the next days, so don't worry if the game is not yet there.

Of course, we're not forgetting about all those users who joined the GOG family in the last few weeks. Together with Strategy First we're launching a special promotion to offer their GOG catalogue at a 50% discount.

If you've been a part of GOG beta and you already bought Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games, please click here, as we have an alternative gift for you.

Thanks for being with us!
Hey, thanks guys! This is awesome. XD

Been a gog dude since pretty much day 1 so this really is a nice pat on the back.
Thank you. I haven't even played Jagged Alliance 2, which I picked up from you yet. It's a very nice gift.
Thanks a lot for the JA:DG! I've been watching for this one, as it's the very first one in JA-series I have played decade ago. Now I can get into it again. Nostalgic. :)
Not sure that those games are really my thing, but free stuff is free stuff; thank you, GOG staff.
Very cool, cheers!

Already had Deadly Games, and most of the other Strategy First titles, somewhat randomly selected EECH. Should be interesting to try out.

Bonus materials download fine, but the game gives me a "403 - Forbidden" message. Guess I'll try again later then contact support.

Thanks GOG!

I love JA2, so a free game from the series is certainly nice. :)
A nice gesture after all the crap surrounding the launch of the new site.

JA has always been one of my favourite games, but I haven't played it for years. Looks like that will change soon. Thanks GOG.
Thank you very much GOG! Rough day at work today and to come home and have this... made my day!
Thank you very much for the gift.

That said I feel I should say that you (GOG) shouldn't feel the need to give us a gift. I personally use this site because it satiates a passion of mine, and it is provided by classy, respectable people (yourselves). I will always use your site as long as it is available, I will always tell others about it because despite a bump or two in the road these last two years you guys are, simply put, the best.

Cheers
Wow - this was nice customer-friendly -gesture. I´m grateful!
Thanks guys, I love this game!

Ever since the last year`s free game fiasco, where I had to wait the better part of forever for an alternative gift, I have been dreading the next free game giveaway.

And here I am, waiting for an alternative to an alternative gift. After all, history has a tendency to repeat itself.
Thank you so much, GOG! I never considered playing the Jagged Alliance games before, but now I have the incentive to try them.

Vestin: Being a fan of neither flight simulators, pinballs nor WW2 strategy games (and owning JA:DG), I have a choice between Combat Chess, Port Royale 2 and Darkstar One... Is the second title any different from Partrician 3, apart from being set in the Caribbean instead of the more familiar-looking Hanzeatic League ? I'll probably end up choosing it anyway, but it won't hurt to get in the know right away...
Port Royale 2 is quite a bit different from Patrician 3; for example, there's not one large alliance governing the islands, but four powers (England, The Netherlands, Spain and France), which means a number of opportunities for would-be buccaneers.
Also, the distribution of produced goods is rather logical, with specific goods being produced in one of the two types of towns.
I'd say, get it if you like this game genre.
