The buzz around GOG's closure and re-opening has slowly faded away and we wanted to sum up the beta stage with a special gift for all those who have been with us during that period. Two years ago we began our revival of all-time PC-gaming classics for all you fans of good old games. Through ups and downs we’ve received a lot of support from the best community we could ever imagine (that’s you!) and we want to thank everyone who’s been with us through our beta stage with a special gift.

Any user who created an account before we closed down the site and moved out of beta (that's September 20, 2010) will receive Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games for free! We'll be adding the game automatically to your accounts during the next days, so don't worry if the game is not yet there.

Of course, we're not forgetting about all those users who joined the GOG family in the last few weeks. Together with Strategy First we're launching a special promotion to offer their GOG catalogue at a 50% discount.

If you've been a part of GOG beta and you already bought Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games, please click here, as we have an alternative gift for you.

Thanks for being with us!
Thanks!
I guess I'll pick Patrician 3 rather than Port Royal 2, since I have played management games before and the minigames in PR2 sound like they could be pretty annoying. xP
Thank you, GOG!

ignus: and what if someone's already got the game?
It's a gift NOT an entitlement.
Thanks GOG.
This is pretty amazing of Good Old Games to do, and goes above and beyond how most other services treat their customers. Kudos to you guys for a job well done.

I am saddened though by those who are still unhappy with this. Instead of being joyous with a free gift, some still complain. To me, it is awesome to see a company even go this far, since most others will not give customers the time of day.
I've been happy to support a site as great as this one, it's great to see them give back. Thanks a ton GOG!
Even though I prolly won't play it, this is cool beans. You guys are the rocks.
Thanks for the free game, but I really wish we had the option to choose our own.
oooo fine, thanks!

PirateNeilsouth: I don't want this game , can i exchange it for something else of equal value please gog?
Don't be ungrateful just because your FREE (awesome) game has crappy graphics... It's not like other games here are that expensive anyways... Give it a try, and if you don't like it, give the installer to a friend who will... And buy Planescape, Sacrifice or Duke Nukem 3D or something...
A nice gift, thanks GOG. Been a member since the beginning and will be one until you close (for real :P)
Well done GOG. I especially appreciate that you offer alternatives for customers who already own the gift. Wasn't the case for me this time, but last time when you gifted Tex Murphy. Don't know any other shop who cares so much to make everyone happy.

And now please release Age of Wonder 2+3 and do a promo for all 3 games. I ignored the sale from Impulse because I wanted to buy those games here. So don't let me wait till I regret this decision. ;)
