The buzz around GOG's closure and re-opening has slowly faded away and we wanted to sum up the beta stage with a special gift for all those who have been with us during that period. Two years ago we began our revival of all-time PC-gaming classics for all you fans of good old games. Through ups and downs we’ve received a lot of support from the best community we could ever imagine (that’s you!) and we want to thank everyone who’s been with us through our beta stage with a special gift.

Any user who created an account before we closed down the site and moved out of beta (that's September 20, 2010) will receive Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games for free! We'll be adding the game automatically to your accounts during the next days, so don't worry if the game is not yet there.

Of course, we're not forgetting about all those users who joined the GOG family in the last few weeks. Together with Strategy First we're launching a special promotion to offer their GOG catalogue at a 50% discount.

If you've been a part of GOG beta and you already bought Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games, please click here, as we have an alternative gift for you.

Thanks for being with us!
Thank you for this true classic !
Keep the good work

Thanks, GOG! I love you, really.
Thanks GOG! Not a game I ever planned on buying, but had heard numerous good things about it. Now I can finally try it out. And if it's good buy the rest of the.... Oh, you sneaky buggers...
Thanks for the game!
Wholeheartedly thank you for being with us!
Just got to say, thanks for the gift GoG. Im very glad to have found the site, GoG has become my top favorite Digital Distributer of games, because of all the classics and because of no DRM. So again, thanks for the gift GoG, i cant wait to see what games you guys bring us in the future.

Firstly, Thank you very much GOG.com! I was very surprised this morning when I had an email telling me that I have received a new free game!

Secondly, I can't believe so many people are complaining about receiving a free game!

This is a perfect opportunity to try out a genre that you may not have had a great interest in. You might find something you like.

If, however this is something you absolutely do not like and you have no wish to even try it. Then the polite approach is to say thank you and move the game to the bottom of your shelves in your account. After all, a free game is a free game.

On the other hand, if you are still upset at receiving a gift, you should really be placing the blame on yourself for not buying the game before-hand thus forcing GOG to give you the alternate title.

I apologize for the rant, it's not my intention to flame, but sometimes I can't help myself from writing the obvious comments.
aww, and I had just bought this not too long ago. Haven't even had time to play it. I bought it on sale and I love GoG, so the cheap bastard in me is just going to have to deal with it.

Where are all these complaints? I flipped back a couple of pages and it seems everyone is handing GOG a thankyou, even if the game isn't one they like.
thank you !

Thanks guys... you are great!!!!
Thanks for the great gift.

It's been a great ride so far. I've bought a few clunkers but a lot of good games, and look forward to the games that come down the track in the future.

Best of luck with the business too.
