Hey, how is it going? I just came back from the gym and I am dead. Among other things I tried the stepper today, managed 8 full minutes and then I needed to sit. Tough job being 100+kilos. I also cut coffee because I put a lot of sugar, now I only drink one or two cup per week. The rest of the nutrition has got a little better, more vegetables and fruit, less pizza and gyros:) Every start is hard but I have accepted that I have to pay the price.
Holy shit, I never thought I'd see the return of GOG Santa. Well, if you get sick of the whole diet and exercise thing, the money you'd otherwise no doubt burn through on giveaways should more than cover a round or two of liposuction.

I wish you all the luck in the world, and have very little advice to offer:

Somewhere around a decade ago, i decided for the hell of it, to quit drinking pop (soda / fizzy / carbonated soft drinks), and the result was that i lost 20 pounds in two weeks.

After those two weeks, i quit smoking.... and my weight evened out, and stayed that way

four months later, i started drinking pop again, and gained twenty pounds in two weeks.... and then i started smoking again, and evened out once again

So, something that may help your endeavors is to start smoking, or quit drinking pop / soda (if either are applicable)

I am in a similar boat. im 5'11" and 290 pounds.... im certainly out of shape, but not considerably so. i can still walk miles, and im the guy everyone calls for manual labor (helping people move, pushing cars that get stuck around this house, etcetera... some of my weight is definately in muscle) ...... had i the money, i might take this idea and run a similar setup for my own weight loss... however, with my current income, there'd be much more motivation from recieving, rather than giving, lol.

I wish you the best either way!
End of week #2 and I am now 8.6% towards the target. The winner will be selected from the posts up to and including #93.

No changes planned for next week as everything seems to be going fine so far!
You are an inspiration Xyem. I also have to lose some weight and I'll see to use some recommendation that users gave in the forum :)

Wow, maintaining pace to the decimal point. That's impressive.
Way to progress.

I progress, too, but I only weigh my self about twice a year.

RoloTony: It's far better to lose weight gradually and in a healthy way, as opposed to losing weight in an unhealthy way, which defeats the main purpose of losing weight in the first place.

Fairfox: yaaah

i lost weight realllllll quick (wai double-digits) by not eatin', period (...mixed with exercise, somehow).

not quite dead yet, tho
buuut y'kno, eep

still too-too thin nao an' i get continuin' dizzy spells.

anyhoohar remembah taht not only do you want to be careful not losin' tooooo much in one go, buuuut teh slimmer you get teh moar slowed down thangs will progressive. just gotta perceiver an' be patient an' not be discouraged ooor whatevs
If you have still been having dizzy spells on an ongoing basis, you should definitely make an appointment to see a doctor. That could be a sign of a major issue. Or, more likely, a minor issue which could turn into something major if it's not treated first. I'm not trying to be alarmist, just trying to help. :)

That's really awesome to hear, Xyem! Come to think of it, I should probably get my own ass into gear and start exercising too. Due to medical reasons I've had to stop all exercises for about a year and I keep postponing a return to a more active lifestyle.
Keep up the good work!
Gd job xyem, keep it up! :)

Note to self: I better start hitting the gym more often soon cos it's been ard 4 weeks so far with hardly any visible results 2 show 4 it. Damn, i must be doing it wrong... lol.
It is good to see that you are making steady progress.
Keep it up.
Steady progress, well done!
