Up to 75% off Heroes of Might & Magic III, Beyond Good & Evil, Settlers, Prince of Persia and more!

Heroes of Might and Magic is turning twenty this month - it's a hefty number for a game, though we're not exactly sure what that would be in human years. The important thing is that the series holds up just fine even today, much like these 40+ Ubisoft, Ubifine classics ripe for the picking. With discounts from 66-75% off, Ubisavin'!

Happy Birthday, Heroes of Might & Magic! You don't play a day over five. Great times we've had together; we still remember how we met back in '96 when you were still young but with so much potential. We'll never forget the way you took over our lives and our souls with Heroes of Might & Magic III either - we'd make you a best-of birthday-mixtape, but it would just end up being HoMM III on repeat. You're turning twenty this month, almost old enough for a crazy night in Vegas - but until then, we brought over some of your Ubifine friends, one of them probably snuck a beer anyway.

This party is about to go Beyond Good & Evil, and we wouldn't Settlers for anything less. The Prince of Persia is bouncing off the walls topless, while Splinter Cell is still being a wallflower. Come on in, this is still a Far Cry 2 from being over...

Cavalary: Prices are set in USD, exchange rates vary. Those are still $9.99 as they always were.

InfraSuperman: The games' prices in USD are still the same, $9.99, it's just the exchange rate that's different now. The Euro's value dropped since then, so GOG just adjusted their prices.
My fault. You are right it is and was $9.99. Even if Ubi is a french company, the price is fix in USD.

gandalfnho: Humm, someone recommends Warlords Battlecry 1 and 2?
I only play Warlords Battlecry 3 and can recommend that. Maybe someday I can squeeze some time for the older series......

budejovice: What's with the new message, GOG?

"You already have everything in this massive promo, you ridiculous over-collector."

InfraSuperman: I can absolutely recommend Warlords Battlecry 2. It's an amazing combination of RTS and RPG, where those two styles actually complement each other rather than clash.

BillyMaysFan59: BUY HOMM 3!!

.....BUY IT!!!

Then observe your free time as it slowly ceases to exist.
What is this "free time" that you speak of and where can I acquire some of it?

FoxySage: But not this. Because anything past five is junk. That's Just my opinion though. (I own the physical box of the sixth game)
Does that include Heroes V? Because, while I was skeptical about it myself ( mostly because of the transition from 2D sprites to full 3D graphics ), it turned out to be one of my favourite PC games. It's very addictive and has some great characters. And the 3D graphics have their advantages, once you get used to the idea.

As for part VI, I own a physical copy myself, but never really played it because of the DRM. So, while I can't say much about its quality, I'd definitely like to try it ( sans DRM ). If nothing else, it would be nice to have the complete series available here.

No. I actually i liked HoMM V. :)

I think the reason i liked it is because i like both AoE and Settlers. It was a pleasantly good hybrid of the two games, in my opinion. Took a little to get used to controlling heroes along with armies but i quite liked it. (Haven't played too much of it though, so can't say anything of the difficulty in later campaigns)

Yeah, thinking over it the DRM might be a major reason to why i have such a negative view of it.

...I might be willing to give it a second chance, if gog gets it. Just to see if it really was that bad as i remember.
Finally got around to getting the first few Heroes of Might and Magic games.

As long as it isn't soon™.

Vythonaut: Is HoMM 3 any good?
No, it's a horrible game. The effects it can have on a person's sleep are obscene.

Well color me jealous. So many wish listed games here.
How is that POD Gold game?
What is the best Settlers-game in the promo?

Random_Coffee: What is the best Settlers-game in the promo?
i have all of them , 5 games times 3 bucks is a good 15 euros, so thats a very decent price
they have been on sale many times at a good price.

if you go for the most votes then the gold editions has the most votes: 1555 votes
Settlers ®2 : The Gold Edition

I had 2 of them when they came out (retail) , so i got all 5 of them at GOG, at a nice sale.
Most of the games that i have on retail cd and that are on GOG are on my shelves.
Lately i am also buying some new games, cause if a new game doesn't get a chance, it can never become a good old game :D
All the GOG were once new .

Random_Coffee: What is the best Settlers-game in the promo?
I asked the same at the beginning of the thread, and a lot of friendly people gave me their opinions ! So if you want, you can go and [url=http://www.gog.com/forum/general/weekend_promo_ubisoft_ubifine_ubisavin_ebd7e/post70]here if you want to take a look at the main parts of the discussion.
In short : Settlers 2 seems to be the best, and choosing between the Gold version or the remake version will simply depend on your tastes for the graphics.
Hope this helps :)

Has no one tried that POD Gold game yet? How well does it run on Win7?
