Up to 75% off Heroes of Might & Magic III, Beyond Good & Evil, Settlers, Prince of Persia and more!

Heroes of Might and Magic is turning twenty this month - it's a hefty number for a game, though we're not exactly sure what that would be in human years. The important thing is that the series holds up just fine even today, much like these 40+ Ubisoft, Ubifine classics ripe for the picking. With discounts from 66-75% off, Ubisavin'!

Happy Birthday, Heroes of Might & Magic! You don't play a day over five. Great times we've had together; we still remember how we met back in '96 when you were still young but with so much potential. We'll never forget the way you took over our lives and our souls with Heroes of Might & Magic III either - we'd make you a best-of birthday-mixtape, but it would just end up being HoMM III on repeat. You're turning twenty this month, almost old enough for a crazy night in Vegas - but until then, we brought over some of your Ubifine friends, one of them probably snuck a beer anyway.

This party is about to go Beyond Good & Evil, and we wouldn't Settlers for anything less. The Prince of Persia is bouncing off the walls topless, while Splinter Cell is still being a wallflower. Come on in, this is still a Far Cry 2 from being over...

With over 40 names on the guestlist, check out our Weekend Promo: Ubisoft, Ubifine, Ubisavin' up to 75% off! The discounts will last until Tuesday, August 18, 12:59 PM GMT

STREAM WATCH:

Tune in at Twitch.tv/GOGcom to see some of these Ubifine titles in action with their streaming plus-ones! See below to know when to tune in:

Random_Coffee: Is the newest Prince of Persia-game any good? I've played the first three ones countless times, but I never played the 4th one.
I loved it, preferring it over Warrior Within and Two Thrones, and about on par with Sands of Time.

It's different from the others in that you cannot die and the combat is pretty simple, except for the boss fights, but acrobatics are awesome and there's a focus on collection (can collect 1,001 light seeds throughout the game (some well hidden or difficult to access), but you need about 3/4 of those (easy to achieve) to unlock all regions).

I highly recommend it. One of my few 5-star games.

Leevi: "up to 75% off!" Why do I always miss that up to... and anyways none of them are 75% off. Only two games come close, Rayman Origins and Assassin's Creed are both 74% off..
avatar
Grargar: Both look 75% to me.
Hmm, game pages themselves indeed show them 75% off, but promo page shows them to be 74%, odd.

Edit:
18,19 * 0,25 = 4,5475 which should round off to 4,55€, but the games are 4,59€ where do those extra 4 cents come from?

if the sale was 74% then it would be 18,19 * 0,26 = 4,7294.

Calculated the right sale percentage, the sale is actually 74,7663551% off

1-4,59/18,19 = 0,747663551

What's with the new message, GOG?

"You already have everything in this massive promo, you ridiculous over-collector."
Don't know why you didn't go with the obvious pun, but it's ok, don't be to ubihard on yourself.

GOG has been doing this a lot. On lesser priced games the discount, even rounded properly, comes out to 74% (or 49%, etc.). It's been brought up a few times, but GOG refuses to acknowledge or explain. At least in this instance they can accurately claim that it is indeed 75% when rounded.

Thank you for the reply. Disappointing GOG :(

JDelekto: If you like dungeon crawler RPGs, you may like "Anvil of Dawn" . I played it back in the late 90's (95 or 96) when it first came out and I remember it being at least more visually pleasing than Ultima Underworld and the graphics reminded me of "Shining in the Darkness" for the Sega.

If memory serves me right, there are some areas where you need to solve a riddle to pass, but it wasn't too difficult. Worth a try at the price, I did pick it up for nostalgic purposes during one of the sales on GOG, haven't revisited it yet though.
Okay, it seems to be interesting ! I'll think about it. Thanks for your help :)

Pangaea666: I would recommend the remake of Settlers 2. I love that game, and it has better graphics so is easier to handle for newer generations of gamers. This is still a proper Settlers game; the later games in the series loses what was great about the earlier games.
I love old graphics ;) I would put myself in the "middle generation of gamers" ^^
But I take note. For now, Settlers 2 seems to be the most interesting. I still have to decide if I buy the old one or the remake (I tend to prefer the old one but... I'm still not sure).

Crackpot.756: Settlers II!
... is actually the only Settlers game I've played. But I love it and I'm normally not into strategy. Not sure if that recommendation counts at all. :p
Yes that counts for me :) this kind of opinion helps me ! (really !) May I ask why you loved it ? And was it the original, or the remake ?
avatar
Ritualisto: Go for Settlers 2 Gold Edition or the remake. Both are really great games. I still love playing them both once a year.
The Settlers 3 is great too. But it has a different play style. Settlers IV has the same feeling as Settlers 3 but I got often crashes while playing the Gold Edition (got the game on DVD; perhaps the reason was my PC but it was the only game crashing).
I wouldn't recommend you to start with Heritage of Kings: The Settlers. The game is O.K. but it is missing the Settlers feeling.
Okay ! If you except the crashes, which one is the best between 3 & 4 ? May be I'll take one of this two alongside the 2 (original or remake, I still have to decide)

Thanks for your help all of you :)

Hell no! I'm talking about the original! And just to inform anyone that don't know it yet; there is a HD mod for the original HoMM 3. More info in the link below!

From the silly marketing folks which insist on a 9 at the end of every price? Obviously there are still people which fall for that trick. Even the discount percentages of the games have been adjusted so that every price in the sale (in Dollars) ends at .99 now.

Nice sale anyway, but unfortunately nothing new.

As far as the extra four cents are concerned, they usually round prices to the nearest 9 (e.g. 2.39, 12.49, etc.). They've been doing this since before I signed up, and it's even been mentioned by GOG staff several times in the past.

eiii: unfortunately nothing new
A friend poked me today about this gog sale. He then bought some Ubi games and just replied "damn these old games I didn't know are practically *roll the drums* new to me" :)
And I was like "... there.. that's my boy" ;D
