Up to 75% off Heroes of Might & Magic III, Beyond Good & Evil, Settlers, Prince of Persia and more!

Heroes of Might and Magic is turning twenty this month - it's a hefty number for a game, though we're not exactly sure what that would be in human years. The important thing is that the series holds up just fine even today, much like these 40+ Ubisoft, Ubifine classics ripe for the picking. With discounts from 66-75% off, Ubisavin'!

Happy Birthday, Heroes of Might & Magic! You don't play a day over five. Great times we've had together; we still remember how we met back in '96 when you were still young but with so much potential. We'll never forget the way you took over our lives and our souls with Heroes of Might & Magic III either - we'd make you a best-of birthday-mixtape, but it would just end up being HoMM III on repeat. You're turning twenty this month, almost old enough for a crazy night in Vegas - but until then, we brought over some of your Ubifine friends, one of them probably snuck a beer anyway.

This party is about to go Beyond Good & Evil, and we wouldn't Settlers for anything less. The Prince of Persia is bouncing off the walls topless, while Splinter Cell is still being a wallflower. Come on in, this is still a Far Cry 2 from being over...

With over 40 names on the guestlist, check out our Weekend Promo: Ubisoft, Ubifine, Ubisavin' up to 75% off! The discounts will last until Tuesday, August 18, 12:59 PM GMT

It states that the Ubisoft promo ends Wednesday 19th August at 12.59pm(GMT). If that is Greenwich Mean Time, why has the offer expired already? (Time of this message 8.00am Tuesday morning)

eiii: You're web site is getting better and better every day, GOG. You now don't let me buy Windows games anymore only because I use a browser on Linux?

I've just tried to buy the Warlords Battelcry games from the promo and the order has been rejected 2 times with the message that the games are not compatible with Linux!?

*facepalm*
If that's the case, sure is a serious problem. I mean, people who dual-boot or have more computers can't order from one to play on another now? A warning, sure, but a block?!
What the heck? It says the discount will last until "Wednesday, August 19, 12:59 PM GMT" but it's only August 18th, and it's already off....

My apologies, that was an error on my part. The promo/front pages were actually counting down Tuesday, August 18, 12:59 PM GMT.

The date above should be correct now. Thanks for pointing it out, and again, my sincere apologies about the confusion.

Indeed, a warning is OK. Even better with an option in my account to set the systems I want to buy games for.

But not a mechanism which aborts the whole transaction without a forewarning and that even after you have entered your payment data. The mechanism also is bugged. It has displayed the error message in German although my account language is set to English. It even changed the currency from Dollars to Euros.

I'm curious what answer I get from GOG support as I could not buy the games from the promo because of this new "protection".

Edit: I just have re-checked the order page, at least now you get the message about the incompatibility already before you enter your payment data. Not sure if it has been the same this morning as the message can be overlooked easily. But it still does not tell you anything that you cannot complete the order because of the incompatibility.

good question, should they at least be allowed to make a gift code?

That was my idea too after the two failed tries, to buy the games as a gift code and then gift it to myself. Unfortunately the promo had ended by a few seconds before I could finish that try. So I don't know if it would have worked.
