The sights and sounds of The Witcher

Our friends at CD PROJEKT RED have just released a brand new trailer for the upcoming The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt showcasing the unique universe that you're about to set foot in.

Set in a world where dark, gritty fantasy meets Slavic lore and story telling - the morally grey universe of The Witcher has always been half of the series' success. This newest trailer is about introducing you to that beautiful, but troubled land. You'll get a feel for the absolute scale and detail of the world that you'll be exploring - the openness, the choices, the consequences, and the freedom to influence a world that may not even be worth saving.

But you're not here to read about it, are you? Let's watch.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is just over a month away, and you can pre-order the game right now - it's a particularly great deal if you own the previous Witcher games and take advantage of the additional fan discount. CD PROJEKT RED have also just announced the Expansion Pass with 30 more hours of finely crafted content to be released in the following months.

RudyLis: Although it's not perfect, it seems that this tattoo is indeed, the one I suspect it was. And either it is VERY out of place, or extremely fitting. Although I'm not of those who got offended by everything, I don't know how others could react.
I smell another twitter-gate.
Sorry for stepping in but could you elaborate? The meaning of that tattoo is something I don't get.

skeletonbow: It's just some random unknown and almost impossible to notice game graphic detail to me, and I suspect 99.999999 of anyone that plays the game. :)
I can't be the only one. :) I'm not sure I can find appropriate programming analogy, #goto feels a bit off. Imagine some ridiculous bit of code you met once, and then you notice it in some film where it used totally out of place (wrong programming language, inappropriate operation, you name it). Something similar. And no, I'm not an expert on tattoos.

skeletonbow: Update: I removed some of the .999's from my estimate since one person noticed, so the percentage can't reflect a higher ratio than all humans on earth. :) The new number does suggest some math as to how well I hope the game sells modulo some variables though. hehehe
Reminds me of this

I haven't seen the exact texture of a tattoo they used in game - I'm limited to 1080p, but the outline of that tattoo reminds me of one of tattoos I've seen once some time ago, and that particular tattoo could be misinterpret in awfully wrong way. That's the reason I don't say what's written there.
If CDPR used that tattoo for reference only and changed the rather provocative text, then it's completely different case, and it is unlikely they'd be hit by a shitstorm of some "offended".

Ooookaaaaay, no more questions. I mean, I still don't understand what it's all about but I understand enough not to press the matter further.
I queried the GOG support team if there was a pre-download option. I believe things haven't been sorted out at their end regarding this. Although Witcher 3 will be available for pre-download on other platforms.

Threre will be pre-download on GOG.

Question is: why go into battle naked?

He's half-naked actually. Anyway, we don't know who started the fight, it might've been Geralt, then the tattoo guy wasn't planning to go into battle.
The other explanation might have something to do with Temerian vodka. :-)
Joker + Vodka = naked crazy warrior

The obscure reference still goes over my head. :)

Out of a porno? Either way, I'll buy extra copies of the game if they put something in it that people whine about being offensive out of context. Because cares arf... :)
