The world is your oyster. The oyster is a hat.

You'll never have to give him up, never have to say goodbye to Geralt, and you'll never have to deal with that one thing that kinda bugs you ever again. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now moddable! Check out the official statement from CD PROJEKT RED for more details on where and how you can get started:

"Released today, the Modkit enables Witcher community to modify several aspects of the game to their own liking.

Thanks to texture import and export, gamers can now modify the looks and feel of in-game objects, while the possibility of substituting meshes allows to insert new models in the game world in place of existing ones. Finally, access to script files opens up an entirely new array or modification options to many in-game aspects, so modders can fire up their imagination and fiddle with item statistics and much more.

In order to download the Modkit, head on over to , the official home of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt mods where you can download the extractor itself as well as some of the exisiting mods. Don’t forget to check [url=http://forums.cdprojektred.com/forums/186-Suggestions-and-Modding]our forums for the Modkit documentation. We simply cannot wait to see all the fantastic creations from the modding community. Should you have any additional questions regarding the capabilities of the kit, make sure to check out GameSpot’s Q&A."

silentpt: This is not what we wanted, we wanted a nice editor that would enable us to make new quests content etc..
Yeah we were promised the new redkit. I like CD PR but this is not what we expected and I'm not happy about that.

Who promised us the new redkit?

Tarm: So is it now as modable as say Skyrim? If it is I might just buy it.
No, it isn't. You are not able to create new landscapes for example.
As far as I understand it, the Modding Tools mainly allow you to change scripts and alter textures more easily by giving you the ability to extract game files. They aren't a tool that allows modders to place objects in the world as far as I know.
Maybe CDPR publishes a world editor when the expansions are out. (?)

Dang it! That exclude my favourite mods. I want house mods!

Fortunately I haven't had time (Or money. :( ) to buy it on PC yet. Otherwise I would not have been happy.

Tarm: snip
Well, I'd imagine you can change pretty much anything about Roach.

I have to admit, I found it a bit strange that someone's favourite mods are horse mods. :P

Sure, but I assume that GOG has far more male customers. I also think that it is far more likely for males to mod their games and I haven't seen a lot of horse mods for any game that I've modded.

Skyrim has some if I remember it right.

Horses are a very important part of the game and Skyrim has a few horse mods. However, Skyrim has far more mods for sexy outfits than horse mods.
I think this can be seen as evidence that there are probably very few people whose favourite mods are horse mods.

Well I guess games where custimizing or "modding" horses fits already have that integral in the game so horsehappy gamers play those horse games instead. People can indeed get VERY horse crazy...

So I guess there ain't much need for horse mods in non horse centric games. Or something. Let's cool this discussion down before some pervert japanese game maker gets ideas...
im the only one who cant register at nexusmods ?

BKGaming: Glad to see a partnership between CDPR and Nexus, this is what GOG should do as well if they don't want to include a workshop type feature... could benefit both sites.
CDPR is GOG; GOG is CDPR.
They're subsidiaries of the same company, CDProjekt.
