The world is your oyster. The oyster is a hat.

You'll never have to give him up, never have to say goodbye to Geralt, and you'll never have to deal with that one thing that kinda bugs you ever again. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now moddable! Check out the official statement from CD PROJEKT RED for more details on where and how you can get started:

"Released today, the Modkit enables Witcher community to modify several aspects of the game to their own liking.

Thanks to texture import and export, gamers can now modify the looks and feel of in-game objects, while the possibility of substituting meshes allows to insert new models in the game world in place of existing ones. Finally, access to script files opens up an entirely new array or modification options to many in-game aspects, so modders can fire up their imagination and fiddle with item statistics and much more.

In order to download the Modkit, head on over to , the official home of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt mods where you can download the extractor itself as well as some of the exisiting mods. Don’t forget to check [url=http://forums.cdprojektred.com/forums/186-Suggestions-and-Modding]our forums for the Modkit documentation. We simply cannot wait to see all the fantastic creations from the modding community. Should you have any additional questions regarding the capabilities of the kit, make sure to check out GameSpot’s Q&A."
Will it be possible to use mods on consoles the way Fallout 4 will supposedly do it?
EDIT: Whoops, nevermind, it's mentioned in the FAQ

Dralel: Incoming nude mods.
They already exist doe XD
Any chance someone can make the rest of Viper School armour set beside the swords? That would be awesome.
This sounds good.

I'm curious if it's possible to change Geralt's character model to someone else. I don't see that being able to be done much. If ever. Now that would be something.

Hitman, GTA, Manhunt only the textures could be changed as far as I know.

I was in expectation to see the modkit let the ability to modders to put main characters into the world as red-blooded after main story finish. So is that mean they can do it now? I wanna to see all our buddies in game and able to spend time with them.
from ModKit Quick Guide:

For textures, you can use any graphical editor that supports the exported formats. For example: Photoshop, GIMP, MS Paint, etc.
For meshes, you can use any 3D editor that can edit .fbx files. For example Maya, Blender, 3D Max, MS Visual Studio, etc.

Thank you very much!

I predict the Viper School armor will be available, when Toussain expansion is out, as it is in Nilfgaard.

Incoming!

Actually, I think I've already seen screenshots of some nude mods, not long after the game's release.

Anyhow, I'll finish the vanilla game ( which is going to take me a long time yet ) before I'll even consider installing any user mods. But this seems like good news, none the less. Let's see what the modding community can come up with.
