I use a bot called HAND, the "Highly Advanced Nine-plus-one Digit" technology attached to my carpus.

Lol, you shouldn't have to spend so much time writing all that out.

I don't write it. I just copy-paste from MaGog's logs.
Right, well keep up the good work

and while we are at this topic: I'm wondering if you need to have some special privileges to access all the info or everything is gathered only from public pages?

That's strange :D Because I can't find any info for "Patched to version: xxx" in the page source of particular game...
I never know if I have the latest version installed, because I have to delete installers - no space on the disk...
So I'm quite often using such simple results from MaGOG:
http://www.an-ovel.com/cgi-bin/magog.cgi?ver=254&scp=gdspu&dsp=iv&ord=&flt=&htt=&myf=FriSep51149452014_empty_snq4TqF4kbdh4

It would be very helpful for me if I can see the most recent version of the game in library or on the game page...
Forum here is a little to much cluttered with responses to be helpful for me few days after update...

That's because it *used* to be on the page; it went away during the redesign. All such notes by MaGOG are from before that.

What Judas and Pidgeot wrote is 100% accurate.

Concerning the Patched info: Unless GOG adds it back to the game page, I will keep it on MaGog only for a couple of weeks, then I too will be forced to remove it because it may well have become obsolete and irrelevant, not being updated and such.
high rated
I'd hate to see the Patched info go for good, and I sincerely hope GOG adds it back.
For those who use the Linux version of TW2. GOG didn't release the latest optimized build from VirtualProgramming, so they made an update:

https://github.com/KillaW0lf04/The-Witcher-2-Issues#announcements

You can download the patch with latest optimizations here:

http://developer.vpltd.com/public/witcher2-gog-20140905125243.tgz

I wish GOG would split TW2 in two tarballs - static files which don't change much, and VP code which might be still updated often. The later is just 20 MB, not 20 GB!

I submitted the feature request here: https://github.com/KillaW0lf04/The-Witcher-2-Issues/issues/67
