It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).

dirtyharry50: Thank you for the heads up on Betrayal at Krondor.

The way GOG does things, all I see on my shelf is 2.0.0, not the actual version number seen in the filename once you download it. This means for me, downloading using my browser, I must actually download a file to know what version it is compared to what version I already have. And some people wonder why I have issues with this system and way of doing things. I guess I am just an unreasonable SOB wanting version numbers and update flags and change logs every time.

Or better still, an optional client that manages this for me. I know, I am such an entitled prick aren't I?

dirtyharry50: To be honest, between this and some other issues I think my days with GOG are nearing an end. I'll be here for the Wing Commander releases and I will continue to watch for LucasArts if that ever happens but otherwise I think I am done here. Maybe I am just having a bad day but I am really tired of some of this stuff.
yeah , i understand the feelings; GOG, really need to improve some stuffs .... otherwise they will lost some customers .... I'm patient, but i have my limits too ..... and they always ignored me about the games which get a v2 updates silently + some others silent updates. I suggested some improvements , but either the work is in progress , either the resquest is lost forever ...

i'm a bit sad , about the current websites changes, and the unwanted side effects.... which give the impression to have been lauched to early.

However the support is good, is quite rare to be notifced.

I always thought it was some add-on or script on my end that messed with full version numbers, but you just verified that it's GOG's doing - not happy at all :(

Thanks for reminding me of this - though nobody should need to maintain such a list.

@GOG
You really need to provide a more efficient way for us to know what's been updated and needs to be redownloaded.

JudasIscariot: This is something I am aware of and will look into on Monday.
A status update on this, please?
personnaly i don't use the spreadsheet at this extend :

i just use a spreadsheet , to track down the version number of the installers + patches, and that's all.

i don't understand why in the games shelves , the full version number of a game's installer / patch isn't fully displayed too. :/

Rise of The Triad update 2.0.2
Hello,

I just re-checked my whole GOG collection, and the where some updates that were not announced so far:

For some reason GOG distributed v1 installer for games that already had a v2 installer.
I got a v1 installer for Freespace 2 and for Darklands, although both are v2 for months.

Master of Orion 3 got a new version of the soundtrack. don't know if anything changed besides the file names. Could be re-encoded but I do not have time to investigate this atm.

And now something that makes me kind of angry: Master of Orion 1+2 and 3 also got new downloads for the wallpaper. And the only change is they have thrown away all resolutions except 1920x1080. I was a bit angry when Lords of Midnight had no wallpapers in 4:3 aspect ration, but that. I STILL HAVE A 4:3 MONITOR GOG, AND MANY GAMES YOU SELL DON'T EVEN SUPPORT WIDESCREEN! Stop giving me 16:9 wallpapers only. I could understand if you would not want to support all 4 resolutions for new releases, but deleting old ones is inexcuseable to me.

With all that new focus on new games and lesser old releases GOG little by little becomes a place for me to buy only a few games from. I have nothing against new games, but in my opinion GOG's support for new games pretty much sucks, especially for Indie games. I'm talking about things like no Linux support, slower updates/DLC and missing features, things I'm getting better at Steam for roughly the same price.
Sorry for being slightly off topic.

If you got a v1 installer for games which have v2 installers for months, that's a problem :

either conctact support or PM judas ;)

obviously they still have issues.....

for wallpapers; in other hands , i don't have 4:3 monitors since ages ; so it's the opposite :P

Sword of the Stars: The Pit had its DLC updated again. More info here. No idea why I got a notification flag without having the DLC though.
I own it and the DLC and have no notification flag, I didn't get one for recent RoTT patch either.... :(
just to let the blues know that the red flag appeared again even though I don't have the Sword of the Stars DLC, and it's stuck again :o)

It must be something to do with copyright info.

Atari/Quicksilver have been removed from the tag on wallpapers and Atari from copyright/publisher in the meta info of the mp3's.
