IAmSinistar: Nothing as of yet. I am following ddickinson's suggestion that I wait until the Weekend Sale to see what is offered. Otherwise I will pluck some stuff from my wishlist. Let me know if you (or anyone else) recommends any of those titles. I'm tempted to pick up Gods Will Be Watching, but the reviews make me feel like it's better off gotten on sale.
Like mrkgnao, I would also recommend the Prince of Persia games. Then again, platformers and shooters are my lifeblood. :P

awalterj: LOL, that was epic! That raffle box sure knows who's deserving.
I'm not too sure about that. I think it was just taunting me. It knew I could not win and wanted to rub it in my face. These raffle boxes are just pure evil :-).

foxworks: -And thank you to those nominating me. Very humbling to read :)
By the way, if I remember correctly, you received the most nominations (I may be mistaken, I do not have the list with me, but I'm pretty sure it was you) . So congratulations on being so popular!

mrkgnao: I really enjoyed the Prince of Persia trilogy, especially the first one (Sands of Time). Congrats.

Thanks chaps. I've played them all as well, though on console. I keep hoping that they'll somehow end up in a bundled sale here, hence why I've not grabbed them already. Not that I'm trying to be cheap so much as leave a few titles so that I can still participate in sales. :D

But yes, good suggestions, and fun games. I like the first best as well, though the metal soundtrack of Warrior Within is pretty kickin'.

Well, there is always the possibility that they will appear at the next Insomnia. Failing that, Christmas isn't too far away.

At least your raffle box works better than mine and all the cool stickers I put on it didn't seem to help, I remember this one time where I really wanted you to win and even added extra raffle papers with your name on it but the box decided to rebel against my will.
I have since retired my raffle box and returned to ye olden win by merit system, puts me back in charge of things, Louis XIV style :)

Agreed, such is my hope. Insomnia seems less likely, since that typically contains single and out-of-sequence games. But the trilogy would make a perfect bundle in the sales which discount thematic groupings. So perhaps we'll have an Xmas sale of that kind.

awalterj: Zeffyr: Thank you for being so helpful and for being the -so far- only member to offer me a beer in real life, an offer I most certainly would like to take you up on soon as there is a chance. Haven't seen you around lately on these forums, hope all is well.
As I'm catching up on forums, let me thank you here as well for this remembrance! :)

This further proves my point about them being evil. When I want to win, and have extra chances of winning, I lose. When I can't win, it lets me win. They're just evil, like the developers who create those illogical puzzles in adventure games that I just can't solve :-).
Appropriate (great) end for a great giveaway. Congratulations to all people nominated.
And thanks to everyone who spent some time to give an appropriate explanation. An huge "thank you" to our lovely host.

It's a well known phenomenon.
It even has a scientific name: Resistentialism, namely the "spiteful behavior manifested by inanimate objects".

I knew there was something going on, those spiteful raffle boxes! But at least they let you and the other win, so I guess they are not too bad :-).
Most exceptionally exceedingly excellent winners! Congratulations to you all, including ddickinson, the clear moral winner of it all! ;)

Also, a brief reprimand to the silly saps who nominated me. Shame on you, you should all know better :/
Thank you so much ddickinson for your astounding generosity with this extraordinary giveaway proving us the opportunity to highlight as well as appreciate some of the many deserving people for their positive presence on these forums. It was just really wonderful to see almost a hundred great people from the community get nominated. I really appreciate you providing the stats as well and it just shows how incredibly unique this community really is. I can't believe you took the time and made the tremendous effort to write down almost a 100 names on paper pieces for the raffle so major kudos to you for that. It is also amusing that the first prize draw was your own name and I think the raffle box is trying to tell you to get some games for yourself as well apart from just always generously gifting games to so many people here. I am certain that if you actually enter a giveaway sometime then you'll surely find luck to be on your side because we all know you're also very deserving of recognition and a genuinely great person like all of those that were nominated.

So fantastic to see the names of the winning nominees, it is especially great to see IAmSinistar receiving top honors which I am sure pretty much everyone wholeheartedly agrees with as being one of the most essential pillars of this community with his stellar contributions. Also really happy to see the always kind and genuinely good natured Sage1030802's name as the second prize winner, which just goes to show that good things indeed happen to really nice people. As for the third prize you can't go wrong with such excellent GOGlodytes as mrkgnao, Gragar and Enebias who all are truly valued members of the community. It is also extremely satisfying to see all of them accepting the gracious gifts without making a lot of fuss and in particular IAmSinistar for curbing his natural instinct this time by being the recipient for once instead of always playing the role of the gifter.

I have to once again express my immense gratitude to ddickinson for her seemingly boundless generosity for extending the limit of the third prize to four winners which somehow resulted in me being one of them. It is a really pleasant surprise and I really don't have the words to describe how appreciative and grateful I am to all the kind people listed below that for some inexplicable reason decided to nominate me for this giveaway. I guess my spell of subliminal hypnosis actually worked on them because seriously though I can think of many other nominated folks that are far more deserving including the ones that nominated me.
