I got ya a few times too. I don't know why you're getting bombed this bad since it seems you've been fine the past few weeks, and yet you've gone down like 20.

I don't act like a "proper gogger" should act, according to those who came up with some unwritten gog etiquette code and speak my mind which can sometimes come off as abrasive. Some of them downrate me or convince more easily mindwashed newcomers to believe things about me and thus get more to downrate me.
I cleared my list on the spreadsheet for now. I got the EA games I needed and grabbed some Interplay games so I have enough games to play.

I almost bought The Longest Journey but passed on it in favor of some cheap Interplay games. That's the only game I really want right now if any kind GOGer is feeling gifty.
The Longest Journey is awesome, you need to get it sometime. :P

*sighs about wanting games on Interplay sale...*

Well, its time to redo my list a little (since currently its empty)

All I want, wish, need and I could use a few more fancy words, but right now I am tired and my head is throbbing in uncomfortable way (yes I am little sick)

Rayman 2 - I played this game few years back, but I didnt finish it...I have it on a lot of platforms but I wanted to replay it on my PC, my heart almost stopped when I discovered that my PC disc is too damaged to be read :( I should have taken better care of that CD when I was younger.

Magic Carpet - First time I saw it in my entire life, but I am highly curious about this game.

Sid Meier´s Alpha Centauri - I own a lot of Civilization titles, when you look at my steam library, you can see I own each Civilization except first and second. I never got opportunity to play it, since honestly, I didnt even know it existed! So I would love to get a chance to play this (according to lot of people) gem of strategy genre.

Stronghold - Heard a lot of good things about this game, pouring hot oil at enemies, throwing cows out of catapults...almost too good to be true.

Outcast - One of my friends explained this game to me like open-world stargate/GTA...in my book must have title :)

Lord of realms: Royal edition - This game was recommended to me by a lot of people, so I know it only by ear.

EDIT : Battle island platinum also looks nice.

Recent EA releases also looks beautiful (Ultima Underworld and Wind Commander Privateer, both titles were never before played by me)

GameRager: History...awesome. Always one of my favorite subjects.
avatar
stoicsentry: That's cool. Me too, obviously. I think most students like other subjects better but that's because, let's face it, most history teachers are boring.

I try to make my classes more interesting and relevant for students with a ton of games (can you tell?) and a lot of analogies that make sense in their own lives. When it comes to the American civil war, for example, I like to divide the students up into two groups and we play it out as if they were two sports teams because sports are a big thing at my school. So I ask them, what are your strengths and weaknesses? Who are your 'coaches'? What kind of strategy are you going to have? That type of thing.
I'm almost certainly wrong, but I couldn't not ask... Mr. Mullen?

That's not my name, but whoever it is, sounds like a good teacher. :)

Ah. He teaches history at the high school I just graduated from and his teaching style is a lot like you described. He wanted to show us how stronger motivation contributed to the colonies' ability to win even though they were severely outnumbered. He set up a capture the flag game in which one team had far more people, but as the smaller team was starting to get tired he offered them a free homework pass for any one regular assignment if they could win. =P
