It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I guess you got ninja'd. A couple of the posts above address this.

Snickersnack: Internet Explorer is an important browser that effects everyone on the web. As such, it's a valuable piece of software to run on Windows compatible platforms but you still need a MS Windows license (pricey) to run legally.

Miaghstir: I would guess the list is aimed at Windows users anyway. Of course, those running Windows (95b or newer) already have some version of Internet Explorer. I'm still not sure what you're trying to say.
Only that you have to buy a copy of Windows to run Internet Explorer. It's essentially bundled.

That I agree with. I also agree that it isn't neccesary for it to be on the list (due to being bundled, and updated without manual interference), and see no problem in it being removed. What I don't agree with is that being the reason for removal (but that's just semantics, so on second thought I'm not sure why I'm arguing at all), the correct reason would in my opinion be "everyone it applies to already has it".
Lol! I'll go through the list an update it...honestly most of the stuff on here I didn't put on...This used to be navagon's list, so I'm not sure what information is outdated, etc.

I'll update it later today (hopefully ;)
Here's one for you (I can't see it anywhere)...

Calibre

A very excellent e-book management system. Does a very good job of sorting out all your books you may have on your hard drive, with conversion from one format to another, tidying up of pdf's, importing book details and jacket covers from the internet, and easy one click exporting to your favourite e-book reader. Covers all major e-book readers, and some not so major ones as well.
I've found this today - I do not know if this qualifies for this topic as this is only plugin not application, but I so love it and it should be useful for every other Photoshop user (CS4+).

PaintersWheel

It is no perfect (as it sometimes cant not be used on some system configurations - it just crashes) but its free and for people who, like me, cant afford to pay $10+ for commercial version of color wheel from another developer, it is really great thing.
Hey sorry guys I've been distracted the last couple days...I'll update this either tomorrow or the day after! :)
Updated! Here's a "changelog":

After the debate above I decided to not add Internet Explorer.

The Windows Live Essentials is included under Office, Programming, and The Rest.

MetroTwit added to the "Other" section of the Internet page.

Changed description of AVG Free.

Removed Game Booster.

Added Adobe Reader to the PDF section of OPaTR.

Added Hitman Pro to the Security Section.

Added Common Sense to Security Section ;)

Added Reaper (with a caveat) to OPaTR

Added Cameyo to Software Settings of System Tools

Added Calibre to PDF section of OPaTR

Added Painters Wheel to Photoshop Extras of Graphics and Web Design.

Waterfox; 64-bit version of Firefox. Stays relatively up-to-date with mainline Firefox.

I dunno if this is relevant, but K-lite Codec Pack contains MPC-HC and quite a number of codecs! Plus a 64-bit addon!
