Thanks for taking part in our grand Vacation Quest, adventurers!

UPDATE: Wow. These have been two wild, adventurous, exciting weeks! More than 1000 deals going for up to -90% were made available throughout the Summer Sale, and you definitely showed them lots of love. Most hugs were given out to The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine and Wild Hunt, Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, System Shock: Enhanced Edition, Shadowrun Hong Kong & Dragonfall, Pillars of Eternity + Expansion Pass, and Day of the Tentacle Remastered.

The most prominent huggers were featured in our XP Leaderboards and, after a suspenseful race, Hardman77, rwoodsmall, and leonmerts managed to secure the top three spots. Congrats, you guys, hope you enjoy the spoils!
If you want to know where you stand, you can still go to your experience page, and check the list of glory. The page will remain open for one more month, until July 22, so make sure to also redeem your free games until then.

Last but not least, our two GOG Plays events got our Twitch community all hot and bothered, as more than 50.000 unique viewers joined the madness, which peaked at over 1300 concurrent watchers. Objectives were completed, XP boosts got handed out, and fun times were had by all.

Thanks again for being part of the 2016 Summer Sale. Enjoy your hard-earned loot!

If you are looking for some sweet summer-y wallpapers, make sure to drop by our <span class="bold">imgur</span> page.
Nice to see so many (10) people spending money on GOG......and it's a completely useless information.
* Opts in to see where he stands...

* Is 1/10th the score of the 10th position

* Takes snapshot

* Has no intent to get within the top 10 as there aren't THAT many games he wants this sale

Seriously, how many games are you buying to get that kind of score?

Smannesman: You certainly have, although I never got my prize :P
That would be because you never told me what you wanted.

Unlike some people *cough*GOG*cough*, my prizes never expire!

EDIT: Speaking of which, I should probably transfer the giveaway data into the accounting software I now use..

Smannesman: Have you been gone for a bit?
I don't think I've seen you around much.
Could just be my wonky memory though.
I've just been lurking.

The-Business: If you want to see the XP leaderboard without opting in, run the following code in the developer console of the browser or e.g. Scratchpad in Firefox (Shift + F4):

document.querySelector(".leaderboard__optin").remove();
document.querySelector(".leaderboard__table").classList.remove("is-transparent");
avatar
The-Business: The first line removes the hint that you have to opt in, the second line unhides the leaderboard.
Hello, it doesnt seem to work for me:
Exception: SyntaxError: missing ; before statement
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!

Open your Vacation Quest page. Then run the script as described by The-Business. Check your Vacation Quest page.

NuffCatnip: We are not worthy of a rank. :P
Maybe if you were an exceptional madman instead of an average one...
avatar
styggron: Clearly there are many rich people here :(
Of course they are. Cheapos are hunting humble bundles and unofficial steam keys... ;) :D
I just noticed, and sorry if it was brought up already, but strange that realMyst: Masterpiece Edition is neither part of the Myst bundle, nor discounted on its own.

apehater: due to my calculations, this person must have spend about 1220€!
avatar
HunchBluntley: He spent 1,220€ because of your calculations? :P
Apehater must be no ordinary accountant. :D

Seriously though, this leaderboard makes me feel miserable.

For the right or wrong reasons? :P

RWarehall: Also, it appears the Bit.Trip bundle is still active, even if the bundle page is gone. One can just add all the games you are missing to the shopping cart and the bundle discount appears.
This is confusing. When going to the BIT.TRIP Runner store page, it has the price listed for "Buy Series" at ~$36. When I add everything to my cart, it indeed lists the price at the earlier cited bundle price of ~$15. If it weren't for your post I wouldn't have even known the discount was still active.

The only thing I can speculate (outside of these people being really well-heeled and loving GOG's catalogue) is that they're actually accounts that are being used to buy games to be resold later as keys on G2A/Kinguin/etc.

not to nitpick but this new marketer gog hired tends to like to pit "goglin" vs. "goglin". not a fan.

other places achieve basically the same thing I am aware but there's less of a "be like these people or you won't be as good as these people!" vibe. maybe learn to accomplish this in a less ham-fisted, hammer-to-the-head kind of fashion.

Not sure... What I mean is I'm carefully planning how to get to the Dreamfall Chapters goal while others splurge thousands.

mrkgnao: Unless he lives in Russia, in which case he only paid about a third of that.
but even one third would be a really big number in russia, so no matter from where this is a big bunch of money to spend at one sale for digital games. who would do this? i guess gog has really rich users

Imagine it wouldn't be too surprising some of these people are resellers looking to make a profit after the sales.
