Thanks for taking part in our grand Vacation Quest, adventurers!

UPDATE: Wow. These have been two wild, adventurous, exciting weeks! More than 1000 deals going for up to -90% were made available throughout the Summer Sale, and you definitely showed them lots of love. Most hugs were given out to The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine and Wild Hunt, Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, System Shock: Enhanced Edition, Shadowrun Hong Kong & Dragonfall, Pillars of Eternity + Expansion Pass, and Day of the Tentacle Remastered.

The most prominent huggers were featured in our XP Leaderboards and, after a suspenseful race, Hardman77, rwoodsmall, and leonmerts managed to secure the top three spots. Congrats, you guys, hope you enjoy the spoils!
If you want to know where you stand, you can still go to your experience page, and check the list of glory. The page will remain open for one more month, until July 22, so make sure to also redeem your free games until then.

Last but not least, our two GOG Plays events got our Twitch community all hot and bothered, as more than 50.000 unique viewers joined the madness, which peaked at over 1300 concurrent watchers. Objectives were completed, XP boosts got handed out, and fun times were had by all.

Thanks again for being part of the 2016 Summer Sale. Enjoy your hard-earned loot!

Did anyone have any issues with the daily checking in? I'm pretty sure I checked in yesterday but I guess it didn't go through or something and now I have an ugly crossed out circle there. Totally messed up my streak and made me sad :(.
Even more sad than my wallet is because of this sale.

nightcraw1er.488: So, is this it then for the sale, no more releases or deals? Will pick some up before the end, but was expecting maybe a release or two before the end, and nothing today so far.
Deadlight: Director's Cut will be available tomorrow, so within Summer Sale.

I had troubles as well yes. I had to check in this morning multiple times before it finally 'sticked'. :-/
4900 xp.... tomorrow is the day of free Spelunky

That would be a " meh " release for me .

LOL, you like me, eh, didn't spend a single dime.

Don't worry GOG, I'll make up for it later when I get some more cash!

I already got 90 games on gog... now I have a really long backlog... I cannot buy every sale.
I bought 2 games during the last insomnia (+1 gift), 27 games during 2015 (+ many good free games that I really want to play).

Now in my wishlist there are only:
Necropolis (that I will buy on sale after the release if I think is really good),
the Witness (that I will buy when it will be below 20€),
this war of mine and the dig (that I will buy when my backlog is not full),
the witcher 3 (that I will buy when they will release a mac or linux version).

When I want to play something I usually just buy it (sometimes I don't even wait for a sale)... but free games are free games... and Spelunky will be my first rogue-like (so that I can understand if I like the rogue-like gameplay).

PS. Also I already got System shock 2 (before this sale), Dreamfall Chapters (bought in 2015 during another Insomnia sale)... and I'm not interested in gabriel knight....

I also got Pillars of eternity on steam (it was a christmas gift)... If gog connect will get PoE I will buy DLC here.

First thing, Spelunky and its ilk are not truly roguelikes, they just have "roguelike elements". The terms "roguelite" and "roguelike-like" have become somewhat popular to refer to games like this. (MOAR)
Second, many (if not most) "true" roguelikes, and quite a few roguelites, are available for free (and often are open-source, as well). The original version of Spelunky, for example, has always been freeware.

Same here. Well, I did play and complete the original version via Humble Bundle Steam key. The game was average at best. Nothing worth replaying/rebuying really.

HunchBluntley: Spelunky
As much as some people knock the updated version - weirdos! - I think that extra spit-polish really made the game shine even more. It's one of the very few games of its kind that I actually enjoy.

You'll be in for a treat then. I'm typically turned off by games of its ilk, but Spelunky is just a pleasure to play.. even when I'm skewered by spikes, crushed by rocks, falling to my death due to carelessness and greed, etc. ;)

Quick question: What happens to my XPs after the sale ends? I already owned the free games on offer except for Spelunky, and I still have almost 44k XP that I can't spend on anything...

Oh no, I didn't mean to say you haven't bought anything here EVER, (I've got about 30+ games in my own library) just not this sale. I've wanted to, but money is a bit tight right now.

Nothing. Its just a way of saying if you spend, or by other means achieve these goals you get x freebies. There is nothing further after dreamfall chapters.

I thought so, though it would have been nice to have some kind of special deal if you unlock all the games and achievements available. But maybe I want too much, this was a nice sale after all, I bought 16 games for a really good price and got a free Spelunky :)
GOG web devs:

Kudos for putting all of the bundles directly on the GOG front page instead of requiring people to find and click on the previous "More Bundles" link. I think that all of the bundles will be much more visible to customers now and hopefully that translates to GOG making bucketfuls more money in these last few days of the promo. :)

It looks so nice, you guys should consider having big mega sales promos like this every month! ;oP
