Thanks for taking part in our grand Vacation Quest, adventurers!

UPDATE: Wow. These have been two wild, adventurous, exciting weeks! More than 1000 deals going for up to -90% were made available throughout the Summer Sale, and you definitely showed them lots of love. Most hugs were given out to The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine and Wild Hunt, Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, System Shock: Enhanced Edition, Shadowrun Hong Kong & Dragonfall, Pillars of Eternity + Expansion Pass, and Day of the Tentacle Remastered.

The most prominent huggers were featured in our XP Leaderboards and, after a suspenseful race, Hardman77, rwoodsmall, and leonmerts managed to secure the top three spots. Congrats, you guys, hope you enjoy the spoils!
If you want to know where you stand, you can still go to your experience page, and check the list of glory. The page will remain open for one more month, until July 22, so make sure to also redeem your free games until then.

Last but not least, our two GOG Plays events got our Twitch community all hot and bothered, as more than 50.000 unique viewers joined the madness, which peaked at over 1300 concurrent watchers. Objectives were completed, XP boosts got handed out, and fun times were had by all.

Thanks again for being part of the 2016 Summer Sale. Enjoy your hard-earned loot!

If you are looking for some sweet summer-y wallpapers, make sure to drop by our imgur page.

Maxvorstadt: Hm, is there a tracking thread, so I can see at one glance which games came new to the sale each day?

mrkgnao: Not that I know of, but you can use MaGog for that.

If you don't know how to do it yourself, here is a set of links for each day of the sale:

Thaaaaaaanks a lot.
Aaaah, the famous X series bundle. I still haven't decided which one of these games to buy (mind you, I don't have the time to play them all and from what I read they're somewhat big games). I wishlisted Terran War Pack a long time ago since I guess I'll enjoy it better than the rest (I prefer sandbox) and also I guess it's the most polished of the four but then there is also the X:Rebirth which was a failure from what I read, but it looks like after some updates/expansions it got better?

Does anyone recommend Rebirth over Terran War Pack?

IAmSinistar: Oo, a new release - Dex. Cyberpunkular done right?
I remember seeing a bit of gameplay when Dex was still in alpha. Liked the look of it, though the game itself clearly still needed some work. That was at least half a year to a year ago, so I imagine it's much improved now?

EDIT: huh, turns out Dex was released a year ago already. The alpha must have been even longer ago than I thought initially. Time flies, eh?

That's odd: I checked in yesterday, but today the xp page lists an 'x' for that circle instead of '100'. Not a big deal, but I was shooting for every check-in just to see if we got a message or something for doing it. Oh well. Somebody screencap it for me if it's something neat.

Barry_Woodward: According to the Twitch Streamer Pieman here https://www.twitch.tv/gogcom/v/71675601?t=01h49m53s, "By doing different things, by either buying games or by doing specific events, like going to the GOG.com Twitter or by coming back next Thursday, I believe, for when we're going to have a little thing going down. You'll have the chance to unlock EXP points that you can then use to buy games."
Just listened to that.

It does not sound like there's going to be any kind of "spend XP to get games" deal going on.
Pieman made mention of the three games that are already shown, along with saying that if you bought Tharsis, it gives XP (like every other sale game at the moment) that goes toward grabbing the three titles that have already been mentioned.

If it hasn't happened already, the thing on Thursday is probably referring to them doing Grim Fandango on stream with an objective for the stream to meet that will net everyone more XP if it's completed.
No mentions have been made of a huge new wave of titles on that day.
It's actually cheaper to buy the BTA Humble Bundle than just Hand of Fate.
Cities in Motion is still missing the Linux version. I would have purchased this again here if the Linux version was here also.

micktiegs_8: Sheltered is on the front page for sale. Please be advised that this game is not up to date here on GOG. There have been major updates on April 22, and May 20 which are still absent from GOG's version. Take care now, bye bye then.
{wtf I can't post?}
i know, that game has been in development for 'ages' before it came out and now its 'behind' on gog...
i dont mind, i have it but its way to difficult for me so its 'sleeping' on my shelves covered by virtual dust.

I just bought Randall's Monday and a very old game: The Commemorative Edition of Seven Cities of Gold.
Its not the original , but at 1.39 euros .... :D

MegapiemanPHD frequently talks out of his ass. Also, bear in mind that a lot of the GOG Twitch streamers aren't exactly hanging around the GOG website as much as some of us. I'm pretty sure he was just misunderstanding how the sale's XP system worked.
What happens if I earns over 30,000 XP? Do those XP carry over to the next sale??

Yeah, upon second glance it doesn't sound like anything to get hyped over yet if at all.

Unless you think they're gonna discount some games in the overnight/early morning hours right before the sale ends, I don't think this link will be useful. ; )
(In fact, I imagine they'll stop adding games to the sale roster well before sale's end, but all the links up through the 21st could conceivably be useful.)
+1 for the links, BTW.
