Telling tales of Telltale titles.

A time of more DRM-free Telltale games is upon us. We signed the deal, and we're set to unleash a torrent of past and future games from the award-winning adventure game developer! All of the games will premiere with full GOG Galaxy support, that includes Achievements and other goodness like one-click installation, auto-updating, game time tracking and more!

The first of our new Telltale releases is available today: <span class="bold">Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series at 40% off during launch, right on schedule for the worldwide premiere of Episode 4: Sons of Winter.

<span class="bold">Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series is your chance to not just watch or read about the pathological madness, but to experience and play it out with your own personal touch. This Telltale Game series tells the story of an all-new House of Forrester located somewhere in the north reaches of Westeros. As the War of Five Kings rages, your family is caught in the maelstrom of warfare, revenge, intrigue and horror, in a struggle not to win… but to survive. <span class="bold">Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series is a brand new side-story that bumps into familiar characters, and weaves across events known from the TV series which echo across the entire known world. The release discount will last until May 30, 12:59 pm GMT.

Soon, we'll tell more Telltale tales with The Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands, and all seasons of The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series. Stay tuned!

yyahoo: Did the title of this thread/post change?

IIRC, the original title was simply "Telltale Games on GOG". I remember thinking when I first looked at it that it was an old thread from when Telltale first arrived on GOG...

Grargar: It did. :)
Nice catch. I totally forgot that I could check the URL for confirmation. Thanks!

GOG's forum needs a "preview post" fuction already, both for me and for the blues! ;)
Not interested in the titles myself, but nonetheless, kudos to Telltale for the new releases!

CarrionCrow: -laughing hard- Saw that coming.

amund: The "big deal" is probably achivements, play time and easy updates. Updates are probably very useful for episodic games.
That's a medium deal at best. I want to know the big one.

If nothing else, I'm looking forward to trying Wolf Among Us without having to rent the frigging thing.
Very excited. Great job, GoG and TellTale!

jackoftrades80: Now that you signed with Telltale will there be a DRM reclaiming plan for Telltale games?
I would love to play the Fables game without having to reset my STEAM password for the 100th time.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... ha.

They won't even give people who want Steam keys the time of day. They don't even sell Steam keys for much of anything anymore. So very likely not.
I'm really happy to see you workig together, Well done GOG and Telltale!! :D

The bad news in this is that I will soon own not the worst of two but the worst of three available editions of The Walking Dead, because I bought directly from Telltale - first the Steam version with download manager support and without SecuRom, and now there's an even better, fully DRM-free version on GOG. Thank you, Telltale! ;)

Well, you can have it, but I doubt Barefoot_Essentials works for any back-end system the Blues may use for writing news posts.

MIK0: GoT is regionally priced, so I don't see why those would be different.
It is also to be noticed that GoT on Telltale's Store is not regionally priced. Another good job GOG.

Either there was a glitch when I fist checked it out, or I somehow managed to completely miss the FPP. So, yes, no reason the others won't be too.

Telltale Games are famous more for their total lack of support (no post release patch even on unmistakable issues and no customer care) and communication than for their games. Combine that with GOG lack of interest in bringing value to the users, not so good communication and low bargaining power and you got a non so good picture.

Fair Price Package is nothing. What would bring a revolution and make the difference would be not to pay publishers that doesn't fix their games.
Unfortunately, I'm only too familiar with their non-existent customer support, so would be very surprised if things went differently with the new releases. I guess time will tell.

The FPP wasn't there for the first couple of minutes. I saw the game flat priced with 36% (or 37%) discount at first. Then I saw BAZ asking why the 40% discount is only a 33% discount and wanted to check again what the discount is for me. This time it was 40% with 70 cent FPP -.-
I never understood why does everyone love TTG games. There is only story to those games and quite frankly, it's are mediocre at best (played TWD and TWAU). Not to mention the supposed "important choices" that do not matter in the slightest. They change maybe few lines of dialogue and possibly model for a character.

Btw. from the tone of the news some might think that those games won't be available without Galaxy...

Great news. I just hope we don't wait for so long for other titles.
