It turns out there is secretly a place near me with those Battletech Firestorm pods, and my friends took me there for my birthday. Just got back. I took some pics. They suck, but they serve as proof that I can scratch this one off the bucket list.

EDIT: The picks suck, not the pods. The pods are awesome.

Nifty. I remember reading about these things in the '90s unless these are different versions. I'm kind of surprised that any of them are still operational.
Got North-Eastern Sicily under control, but now the hard part starts.....

These are the very same ones you read about in the 90s. They are pretty old now. Saying the graphics look like a PS2 game is maybe a little generous. They are still super fun though. And cheap. For $10 you get to play as much as you want the whole night. We were there for 7 hours.
Playing with... TITS!

Lysanafae: The name instantly conjures memories of that game, yeah. Their other working name, Swords & Sorcery, wasn't much better - it was already in use, as well. ^^
What game is that in the second screenshot with the guy sprawled out on the floor?

Thanks. I wanted to get that game but keep hoping it gets released on GOG. Don't know what the chances of that are. I know the game had a lot of problems behind the scenes.

That is not an attractive UI.

That is just the Strategic Map as you you zoom out. The sorta simple looking chess piece looking Icons are actually quite nice for seeing what the lay of the land is at that Zoom level. As you zoom in, the game is quite nice graphically, with awesome detail on the units. Some of the different soldiers in a unit of say Cavalry, Spearmen, ect., even have different faces, and different armor then the soldier next to them.
