I found a fix called XLiveLess which disables GFWL. It kills all MP and online saving, BUT it makes the game work. Before I installed it, it wouldn't even start. I also had to use if for EFLC.

NOW, I still get the RockStar Social Club login when I start, and if I don't click play, the game doesn't start, but it doesn't appear to actually log me into anything. I was playing last night and turned the router off and all was good.
