I think that a lot things will be improved when the galaxy become a reality. How ever, even being the developers (if indeed is the developers) fault, GOG need to look at their clients needs, and press the developers to deliver their updates to them.
This War of Mine just got the soundtrack added.
Rise of the Triad (2013) has finally received its lastest patch, that retains cross-platform multiplayer.
Age of Wonders III owners on GOG will not receive the Mac and Linux builds as the developer states " It is too expensive for us to put it on GoG, because it will cost a lot of time to maintain and provide support"

Edit: Shadow Warrior has finally been updated!

ZaineH: Shadow Warrior (2013) is two updates behind now, with the first one being from March of last year. There are also Mac and Linux builds on Steam which are not present on GOG.

Outlast is also missing it's Mac and Linux builds.

Edit: We could vote to remove games that publishers refuse to support the GOG version of. It might incentivize them to actually update their games. The situation with Omerta was ridiculous.
Shadow Warrior has quite a lot of improvements in the new patch. :l
Interesting, I nearly posted a question last month just to ask if a list like this existed, of course the forum search didn't let me find this thread...

So now I I'd like to know: is the mix quite comprehensive and up to date?

I assume some of the newer games e.g. D:OS, POE, Wasteland 2 are excluded from this list because they are up to date? the grumbling about those and other new releases was because GOG patches were days or 1-2 weeks behind Steam but not neglected for extended times?
GOG doesn't have access to the new Postal 2 DLC yet...

All the three aforementioned games are fully up-to-date here. Any complains that existed about them, have been about delays in patching (whether they took days or weeks).

I don't think this counts for the list.

Though the DLC IS probably the reason Postal 2 has been renamed. It used to be Postal 2 complete. ;P

You need to pay for the DLC, though. I think this list is mostly about whether you get an inferior experience with the same amount of money (more or less), when compared to other stores.

The gamecard
http://www.gog.com/game/postal_2
still says
"Includes the original POSTAL 2 and all the expansions."
though, which is a bit misleading...

Yes, it's because it's something I can directly change :P
