Lin545: This is crazy,.. they don't ship ".desktop" files?! O_o

I use DBGL as wrapper, but looking for a better alternative. Not that I have so many dostitles.., just some of my soon-to-be-sold mobile hardware sucks.
The new Linux installers do create .desktop files. The old ones... I honestly don't remember, it was a year ago. Besides, I think I downloaded a tarball back then.
Will this do for now? :)

WOW!!!!!!

Please take more of it ^^^^
This is the single largest script file I ever saw. Its jaw dropping! I am learning shell programming now, and this is brilliant! I can hardly imagine amount of time and dedication you invested into it! HUGE respect!!! I only took small look into the "play anything", just to discover ... DEB generator... Thats seriously mind blowing. I, with my small undertakings, felt like a "tiny grasshoper" :))

I don't know French language, but I discovered that you also have some sort of Wiki there. And it looks very polished and nice web place!

I’m working on it every day, and actually every night too ;)

Here's mine: Arch + Openbox running Jade Empire.

I've been using the same setup for about 3 years now, just making minor changes to my themes and conkys. It's still a work in progress but I'm happy enough with it, and use it almost exclusively. I still use win 7 when I'm running more demanding games though. Hopefully that will change if we start getting more games that run natively.

Well, since this thread hasn't been updated in a while, I thought I'd show off what I achieved in my VMWare virtual Machine running Linux Mint 17.3 Cinammon -I've been using it for the past 5-6 days since I decided to take the plunge to install a virtual machine (hadn't done this before, it was easier than I thought), and thanks to this I now know more or less my way around Linux Mint and won't be lost when (yes, when, and not if, judging by the direction Windows has taken...) I'll transition to it as my main OS -whenever that may be...As a side note, I'm really satisfied with the look I achieved, so I'll be using it for a while...Also, I do love me some desktop shortcuts... :P

P.S. I case you wonder why I chose that particular game on the screenshot, it's because it was the smallest sh file I found amongst my linux-compatible gog games -I wanted to test how this type of files installs and launches...
P.S.2 Also sorry for the slight bluriness of the pic, I saved it as jpg in order to be able to upload it here regarding its size...

hummer010: There's a huge collection of old maps available on the internet at www.davidrumsey.com. You can download high resolution scans of them. I have a 36"x90" plot of this one on my wall in my office at home.
On another note, I browsed the previous pages of the thread and saw this link of yours, and indeed some pretty good maps are there -I don't think one can find maps of Crete and Cyprus in many places and in a good quality too...So thanks for the link from me as well. :-)

My Mate-Desktop (Mint 17.3):

Clean Desktop

Showing new folder icon set + some custom Favorites Icons in menu
Wow, this looks pretty good! What's the icon theme used on the folders and the home icon, if I may ask?
