te_lanus: Maybe the last shot I'll take on this Distro. hopefully going to install Ubuntu Mate 16.04LTS next weekend :D
Fyi, I tried Ubuntu Mate before Mint Mate (on the same hardware where I have Mint Mate now) and it didn't inspire me as much trust as the Mint equivalent ; it showed at random intervals a message that said something like "a system error happened" while absolutely nothing seemed to have happened, and I also got a message saying that the clock widget stopped working whenever I changed the layout in Mate Tweak. I also I didn't like the software centres (Boutique and Gnome Software Center) all that much and Synaptic (which is pretty useful) wasn't preinstalled, and what I also don't like in Ubuntu Mate is that it doesn't include on the right click context of the start menu the "uninstall" option as Mint does (no idea why). In short, Ubuntu Mate didn't satisfy me as much... (just fyi, I've had the same wifi issue -as I mention in my own post above- in both)...
On the other hand though, I have to admit its getting started guide (on the live cd) absolutely rocks, as it detects in the preinstall section whether one has BIOS or UEFI (I apparently have the latter). Hopefully the upcoming 16.04.1 upgrade will fix some issues...

P.S. I'm not posting a screenshot this time around, as all I did since then was change my wallpaper - here is the one I currently use...

Starting this summer, I built up a a fresh Linux setup. Something simple, a Linux Mint desktop with some nice things to keep myself entertained: pulled off a way to play Duelyst, a PSP emulator and some trusty GoG games.

Currently it looks like this. I like to keep my desktops rather simple, without much stuff around.

I'm posting again as I got myself a nice conky configuration with custom fortunes and found a very good icon theme

That's an interesting background, where it is from? Is the electricity still running there?

Also, my screen here:

Probably a stupid question, but what's the game you're playing there? I thought it might have been Rage of Mages, judging from the characters' costumes, but the screenshots of these games look nothing like yours.
P.S. I'd post a screenshot of my own desktop, but I'm currently playing mutliple games at the same time and haven't much progressed in any of them, so... Plus, it's overall appearance hasn't changed too much since the last time I posted here, and I also don't feel like blacking out my username (which prominently appears on my Home folder and is my r-l 1st name) right now...

Ooh, Rage of Mages! That's a game I haven't heard a long time ago. I played demo of first and second game so many times, never had the full version though. That game was the stuff of my youth.

But no, it is not Rage of Mages. It's Geneforge 2 from this saga: https://www.gog.com/game/geneforge_15
