Reckless, beautiful, and well-equipped with twin pistols--Lara Croft is here!

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/tomb_raider_123]Tomb Raider 1+2+3, the game that broke new ground in the third-person action genre, is available now on GOG.com for only $9.99.

If you’re one of those people who’ve never used a PC (welcome to GOG.com then!), never been to a movie theater, never owned a TV, and hate comic books, you might have never heard of Tomb Raider or Lara Croft. The Tomb Raider franchise spanned 14 games, 5 expansions, 2 movies, and countless comic books--not to mention incredible amounts of desktop wallpapers, posters and fan-art. Lara Croft is one of a kind--athletic, acrobatic, adventurous, attractive, and aristocratic, not to mention her short shorts and too-tight top. One of the (if not the) strongest and interesting female characters in gaming history is now available for download with EXTRAS for only $9.99, thanks to GOG.com, yours truly.

As a game, the first Tomb Raider was an enormous success, because it really offered “everything for everyone”: exceptional platforming action with jumping, running, and trigger-happy combat, intelligent puzzles and mazes, exploration and storyline for those who like adventures, and finally a wild ride of thrills, surprises, and challenges. Grab the original trilogy of Indiana Jones-style adventures with non-stop action, guns, puzzles, and double-D cup size.

Peru, Greece, Egypt, Atlantis, Venice, China, Tiber, London, Antarctica, and Lara’s home--you can visit all of those places in Tomb Raider 1+2+3 for only $9.99.

mrtophat101: Oh, I see there is a patch now for the TR games on GOG.
avatar
gameon: Yeah. Only thing is that i put it onto a dvd already. So the patch will have to find a home somewhere separate :(
I would love to know what the patch actually does. :p

When in doubt, always check a game-specific forum.

My pleasure. :)
Now, if only the fan-made "playstation audio tracks" patch for TR was compatible with the GOG version...

Great! Two out of three games are unplayable. TR 1 cannot support game-pad and TR 3 doesn't have sound. Any ideas if these problems can be fixed? I'm using Windows 7 64 bit, double core processor. (laptop)
Use a program like XPadder that translates gamepad input into key presses. TR1 is not unplayable, stop being such a drama queen. If you're playing old games with a gamepad you should have already had a solution in place...

I gave 10 dollars to be able to play these games properly without hacks and without wasting my precious time searching the web for solutions. TR 1 is made to be played with a game-pad too, instead the game crashes in the main menu if the system detects a game-pad connected. This is not normal and I simply refuse to always settle with the incopetence of the distributors. It's my right to demand quality in what I buy. So TR 1 is unplayable unless something is done for it, like the solution you proposed, and thanks by the way.

Welcome to the wonderful world of PC gaming, where you'll have to do things yourself sometimes.

Every PC is different, check the sub-forums for fixes, ask here for help.

Thanks for the warm welcome, but it's not needed, I know pc games very well, more than you can imagine, and that's why I'm fed up with bugged games all the time that need fixing.

Sorry, mate. I do think the latter two were somewhat rude/sarcastic, but sadly they do make important points. Especially Fuzzy, talking about how machines are all different and may require extra tweaking of some kind.

With all due respect, maybe focus more on console games, if you're tired of issues with PC games?
TR 1 crashes after I choose New Game. This is happening only with Windows 8.1. When I had Windows 7 there wasn't such a problem. Can anyone help me? Thanks!
You might be better checking and asking in the TR specific thread here: http://www.gog.com/forum/tomb_raider_series
