Bohemian rhapsody.

UPDATE: Attention, hedge knights! The game has just been updated to v1.4, which brings several fixes and cool bits and bobs like new beard and hair mechanics, an unarmed mercy kill, and the free HD Texture and Audio Pack, which significantly enhances the game's audiovisual fidelity. It's a good day for some not-so-noble errants, isn't it?

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Your sword is vengeance. Your sword is destiny. Your sword is all you have left.
The civil war that ravages medieval Bohemia took everything from you and now a life in the service of a local lord seems the only available path. But only momentarily, because this dynamic open world is packed with role-playing opportunities and challenges, opening up into a gut-wrenching narrative involving historical characters of the era.

Get the game together with its OST and digital Art Book for a 10% series discount.

GR00T: Is this considered a AAA game?
Games aren't so much AAA, as the publishers of the game. It has more to do with amount of cash invested in the project than the quality of the game, or "High End Graphics Quality", though the two are often linked, as the easiest way of getting good graphics is spending more money on them.

The biggest expense for AAA games is in marketing, and generating hype, with "Hype" budgets often being more than it cost to actually make the game.

We Happy Few was an indie game, until it Gearbox became it's publisher, and then it suddenly became "AAA".

Strangely GOG doesn't say who the Dev, or publisher is, but Steam lists them as.
Developer: Warhorse Studios
Publisher: Warhorse Studios

But Wikipedia lists Deep Silver as the Publisher, and they are now owned by THQ Nordic.

While Nordic have never been regarded as a AAA publisher, they're moving up the ranking ladder fast.
I suspect the console, and/or Boxed releases are distributed, and/or published by Deep Silver.
Steam, and GOG digital releases are self published by the dev.

Warhorse Studios seem to be following the CDPR model, used in Witcher 3, keeping their IP, and all future rights.
So definitely not a "AAA" published game.

The thing to understand is a High Quality Games, are not always "AAA" publishers games.
CDPR are not a AAA publisher, but nobody can claim Witcher 2, and 3 were not high quality games.
this is more like Witcher 3, from what I can see, indie on digital, with only boxed distribution, by a publisher.

peternl: Got game on launch day had only maybe 2 hours to play then off to work but could not find save or figure it out yet lost some game time. Mixed feelings about this because i probably will have many game sessions with limited time, hope i won't lose alot of gameplay because i cannot save?

Ingenuum: Peter, where time is a problem, I suggest getting the mod that lets you save at any time. Available on the nexus modding website, probably the most downloaded Kingdom Come Deliverance mod for the very reason you stated.
Thanks for the reply i will look into this mod if it's gamebreaking or not(maybe carefully use my saves smartly, if it will not i guess?)

I heard there is / was an issue with going over 300 saves... Apparently there is a workaround (although I believe 300 to be a bit extreme lol), I have used the mod on the steam release without issue. But that's just me.

Just be aware, the mod author assumes a Steam install. Instructions remain the same, just the first part of the path will change for you.

Hope it helps with time management. :)

Unfortunately they didn't follow CDPR's model in how they treat their customers. So maybe they think they are AAA in that regard.
Yes, I am a backer.
And no, I don't have the game.
I for one am looking forward to play this AAA-indie game!

As far as the delay, it was a dev/publisher decision most likely due to safeguarding the first two weeks sale period from unofficial downloads and exploits...Much better solution than releasing the game with a steam-only-denuvo-virus-infected version like so many other games if you ask me!

Also, I plan to get Ancestors Legacy which is also not without its heavily controversial developers, I don't play games for their political affiliation held by their makers unless the game itself is suffering because of it...

The game was 'unofficially downloaded' or should I say 'uploaded to be downloaded' on day 1. That excuse makes no sense.

Hey it's not my rule/excuse it's only speculation :)

They did admit that they would release it here after steam...It's the most logical conclusion that I could come up with...But yeah, we all know that there is nothing on this green earth that could stop the code smiths and master hacksmen of the internet from cracking this or any game! But still, the alternative to steam-denuvo infected games still stands well in my book!
So how is it?

Niggles: So how is it?
Unfinished. And I don't even mean all the bugs.

The story just flat out doesn't have an ending because they had to wrap things up and kick the game out the door.

You can see the devs in the Steam forums say they're not even sure whether the ending is gonna be DLC or just another game.

Oh I didn't mean it was your excuse. I've heard/seen developers say and still say that having no DRM is the reason their games get pirated or having poor sales. There are great examples of games without DRM that do just fine.

No prob, I do see a lot of devs that spend big budgets wanting to lock down the game out of fear...But if the gameplay far exceeds the budget then they should not have to worry about that! ;)

Probably not incorrect but likely just a contributing factor.

There's a tangible reason for developers+publishers hoping to break into AAA sales to only publish on Steam, and that is that landing in the top 10 Steam charts directly increases visibility and therewith sales. Koch Media wasn't sure they would make it there, so they didn't risk it. They explicitly wanted customers to hop from GOG to Steam, that was the plan.

I didn't know, but you can guess I'm not at all surprised. :)

Good afternoon,

Is there a possibity to get the Flac version of this OST in the future ?

The physical box cllector edition had a CD. Why not selling high quality flac OST version with this brilliant game instead of mp3s.
Hope koch media will consider this with gog.

Thanks gor reading this
Ha, hopping from a platform that allows for unrestricted game installation and HDD backup/storage to one where you're mandated to have an internet connection to even start the game!?

Thanks though, for enlightening me on the visibility perspective as I would have not easily come to that conclusion!
