Bohemian rhapsody.

UPDATE: Attention, hedge knights! The game has just been updated to v1.4, which brings several fixes and cool bits and bobs like new beard and hair mechanics, an unarmed mercy kill, and the free HD Texture and Audio Pack, which significantly enhances the game's audiovisual fidelity. It's a good day for some not-so-noble errants, isn't it?

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.
Your sword is vengeance. Your sword is destiny. Your sword is all you have left.
The civil war that ravages medieval Bohemia took everything from you and now a life in the service of a local lord seems the only available path. But only momentarily, because this dynamic open world is packed with role-playing opportunities and challenges, opening up into a gut-wrenching narrative involving historical characters of the era.

Get the game together with its OST and digital Art Book for a 10% series discount.

Zoidberg: Rating your post up, there's no reason to rate you down for having an opinion. ;)

I've heard some pretty discussable stuff about some of the devs. Will have to look into it before throwing any money at them.

Cheers.
Hah, as expected I've triggered some "broflakes" who are too childish to actually reply to the post.

Paul_cz: Has there been any other AAA game releasing this soon after its debut on GOG other than Witcher 3?
Techland put out Dying Light pretty quickly (though not two weeks) and I'd argue that Divinity OS 1/2, Pillars of Eternity, Torment and Elex were AAA games (though in an underserved / less popular genre). And let's not forget No Man's Sky.

But this is really one of the first "big" AAA console / PC cross-release games to come out here near launch. Though Nordic is doing their best to destroy the notion that you can't release AAA Day one on GoG DRM free. I look forward to helping them.

Yeah I know about Dying Light but that came out afaik year or more after its debut on steam. The others games...kinda fit.

But definitely CD Projekt, Warhorse, Larian and Nordic are good guys when it comes to making great games and being gamer-friendly.

Is this considered a AAA game?

GR00T: Is this considered a AAA game?
Personally I wouldn't call this game a AAA; it's closer to what Hellblade was rather and a full fledged AAA

It is made by team that is currently over 100 people, has full voice acting, state of the art graphics, up to 100 hours of playtime, 4 hours of cutscenes and orchestral hours long (and stunning) soundtrack. Sure its budget was much lower (around 15 million USD) compared to the biggest AAA blockbusters like Assassins Creed or Call of Duty, but I consider it close to being AAA game.
After all Skyrim was also made by 100 people team and is considered AAA.

Wow thanks for that I didn't realize Dying Light was a full year or so out. I actually have been meaning to pick it up (I've upgraded my GPU and CPU since release and think I'd actually be able to enjoy it now - though I'm basically "tapped out" on CPU upgrades on this mobo so I hope this one lasts me).

It is the best zombie game ever made, so be sure to pick it up sooner or later. But now get Kingdom Come :)

Huh. I didn't realize the team was that big, nor did I realize the budget was that large either. Thanks for the info, I was just curious. :)

This was my thought as well, not that it matters much how we categorize it, I guess.

If by "get" you mean finish D/Ling the last two files and "get" ready to play it tonight, will do ;)

Yeah they started in 2012 with 20 people, after kickstarter grew to 40, 60 and gradually to current 110 or so. The money raised on kickstarter was a fraction of the overall budget :)

Thumbs up :)
Open world storydriven RPGs like New Vegas, Gothic, Elex, Witcher 3 and now Kingdom Come are my favourite genre of games ever. Just love them and there are not that many of them, so I buy them all :)

Eh....there's MUCH more content than in Hellblade, it's a huge open-world RPG after all.

But yeah, it's not a full AAA. The production values are very high in some places and modest in others, especially the animations and faces. If I had to classify it I'd say it's AA.

The price is right - AAA games are usually 60 euro, Kingdom Come is 50 euro. Great value for the amount of content and playtime you can get.

My favorites as well. It's a shame though, as I just can't do FPP for gaming. I'm hoping someone comes up with a working 3rd person mod down the road. Then I'd be all over this one.
