King Arthur’s Gold is the ultimate medieval war-game. Developed by the creators of Soldat, this bloody, tactical blend of 2D legends is available now on Windows and Mac for 25% off the entire first week!

King Arthur’s Gold gives you the freedom to build up, or dig down, to fortify your position against a fury of troops, siege weapons, and vehicles. Nothing is safe for long on this fully destructible battlefield, so be ready to retaliate with everything you’ve got. Stand alone in the single-player mode, co-op with a friend, or knock up to 32 other players back to the dark ages. Everyone plays a distinct role with one of three classes as the indispensable Builder, supporting Archer, or frontline Knight. King Arthur’s Gold blends the best of Worms and Terraria into a relentlessly bloody pulp (of fun).

Get medieval on GOG.com with King Arthur’s Gold. Now available DRM-free for 25% off! The special release promo will last until Thursday, January 15th, at 10:59AM GMT.

JudasIscariot: As an American citizen myself, I must ask you to leave :) Give me coffee or give me death!

I am kidding, of course :)
It depends what kind of coffee you drink really. Come to Slovenia and I will give you some nice turkish coffee (Kava) that we all drink here and you will run away as fast as you can :)

from the creators of soldat huh? I hear the single player on this is awful, and nothing like soldat's. Bots in that game were badass.
nvm

Matruchus: All the reviews seem to point that this game is mainly a multiplayer game or am I wrong.
that was my impression as well...

Hi guys, I'm Maciej from Transhuman Design.

The game features single player modes and e.g. the Challenges mode is something people seem to really enjoy, but multiplayer is certainly where KAG shines. We're working on expanding single-player with more levels and features, but we can't give you any specifics as of today.

Have fun with the game!
Maciej
Still on the fence on this, as I'm a single-player gamer -- if the real focus of this game is multiplayer, then I'm probably going to pass on this for now.

That's cool. When I played one of the early versions about 10 million Internet years ago, there was just the zombie defense mode for single player, it'll be interesting to try out the new modes. :)

JinseiNGC224: Reminds me of Pixel Piracy, both in being a strategy and a 2d game. But it looks neat, and I may very well invest in it...

But should I get it 25% off, or wait for a couple months?

Hmm....*debates as he drinks his tea*
There is a big difference between those two which mainly comes to this:
Pixel Piracy - a bad game that you can still enjoy if you give it at least several last chances (more details HERE)
King Arthur's Gold - a very solid single player game (details here and here) and possibly (cannot confirm myself) with a great multiplayer.

So if you want to get only one get only King Arthur's Gold. And if you want both... well, get only King Arthur's Gold ;)

tinyE: You're an American! Coffee and Beer or nothing!
I've hear a joke one day: what a canoe and an american beer have in common? So f*cking close to water! :D I haven't tried that many american beers but those that I did try confirm this theory :P

I don't know if you know but Pixel Piracy is getting a huge update at the end of the month so that most issues people had with it should be resolved. Its only the question if gog is going to get the new version of the game on time.

I didn't know that, thanks for a heads-up. Well, I'm not saying "no" I gave this game so many chances, I can give one more but frankly, I don't think this update can make it a good game. They would have to change A LOT to make it worthwhile, starting with combat, which is the main part of the game and atm it's downright boring. The only thing you can do is to give some order where you and your pirates should go. Even that is not working properly, they got stuck virtually everywhere and then they fight on their own without any tactics whatsoever. It gets slightly better when you have a large crew and specialize them in melee, range and cannons (you can divide them in several groups and give order separately) but it's still not very thrilling. Anyway, I'll give this game yet another "last chance".

So that must be something Din's Curse-esque, right? :P

JudasIscariot: Bringing here = working with a partner to get a game released or Coming Soon, as in the case of tomorrow's surprise :)

I couldn't code my way out of a paper bag :)

edit: I do the after-signing work with a game as it's our glorious Biz Dev. team that actually brings the games here :)
Soooooo... is DD Trilogy this partner's game? And where's our surprise?! :P
I know, I'm a pain.

Woke up and saw Double Dragon Trilogy and in seconds put it in my wishlist. Does this mean there is a chance that Double Dragon Neon will show up in the future or is that involve a different publisher?
