Raiding tombs with Doctor Jones.

Indiana Jones® and the Emperor's Tomb™, like an interactive Indy movie, is available now on Windows - for the first time in digital distribution - DRM-free on GOG.com!

Indiana Jones® and the Emperor's Tomb™ came to PCs and consoles to a pretty warm reception from Dr. Jones' fans and gamers alike. If you're familiar with third person action games released circa early-2000, you should more or less know what to expect. The Emperor's Tomb doesn't do much that's particularly out of the ordinary, but what does is deliver a solid, Tomb Raider-ish action experience and a well written, unmistakably Indy adventure (complete with signature hat-retrieving action) - it might just be the sequel you've been looking for.

Hold on to your fedora, Indiana Jones® and the Emperor's Tomb™ is available now - a DRM-free digital premiere on GOG.com!

kpz: does it work with the 360 gamepad? i usually hate controlling 3rd person action games with keys & mouse...

yyahoo: This is a good question actually. I had a ton of problems with the original release and gamepads. Particularly in getting the right stick axis working correctly. On many gamepads, the axis' on the right stick would be shifted, up would be mapped to right and left to up, etc... And I never could figure out how to fix it. Of all the gamepads I had at the time (no 360 though) only my logitech ones worked right...
I tried it with my Xbone controller and it was a nightmare. Both triggers and the right stick were disabled which made it unplayable for me. Just go keyboard and mouse, it actually works ok.

That really stinks. I personally thought that the game played *much* better with the gamepad... :/

It does on consoles but on PC it is horrible.

To each their own... when I had a gamepad that worked properly, I thought it handled a *ton* better than keyboard and mouse.

Exactly!
Impaler™ is interested in no release, he always owns the game elsewhere :PP

tinyE: I just found out my CD copy of Infernal is unplayable on anything less than 10 years old, so yeah, it would be nice. :D
Have you tried compatibility mode (Win98,Win95)?
I read on a German site that this might get it to run in some cases. I just want to know if it still does not run, because then I can save myself the trouble of searching for my copy of this game :)

The triggers, d-pad and the right thumb stick does not work for the PC version no matter what I did. If I could fix it sure, but otherwise keyboard and mouse is the way to go.

No but I Googled it, found a lot of stuff, and short of wanting to really screw with the installer it seems kind of hopeless.

Ah ok, I see. Then I will just give it a try myself. Thanks for the answer!

Well, that's what I'm saying. When the gamepad works, which it did with certain specific gamepads when the game was originally released, then the gamepads were a much better control solution than the keyboard/mouse, which IMO doesn't work very well with the brawling sections particularly. Regardless, it does appear that, unless you can find an old logitech rumblepad, that keyboard/mouse may be the only way to go.

Oh what a shame. I guess that I will then just wait until it shows up at GOG. Thanks anyway :)
