The genre-divining sequel is finally here.

Divinity: Original Sin 2, is now available in its full glory, DRM-free on GOG.com.
After captivating players throughout its In Development cycle, the ambitious sequel to the critically-acclaimed turn-based RPG is now about to reach new heights. Combining deep pen-and-paper design philosophy with modern-day enhancements it offers a vast world rich in choice and dialogue, innovative 4-player co-op mode, flexible character creation, a powerful Game Master Mode, and of course the chance to meet Eithne, the community-inspired GOG.com hero.

For more godlike goodies, go for the Divine Edition, which includes a Digital Artbook, a Lorebook, a Map, the Soundtrack, a digital Art Pack and a Making-of video. If you don't want to commit just yet, you can always upgrade later.
Newcomers to the Divinity universe might want to go for the Eternal Edition: on top of the Divine Edition's contents, this pack also includes Divine Divinity, Divinity 2: Developer's Cut, Divinity: Original Sin + Design Documents, an Art Pack and the OST for that game.

Watch the trailer.

vulchor: For those of you who were Kickstarter backers, I've heard back from Larian support, and it looks like the keys they gave us were already sorted between base edition and standard edition, it's just GOG still hasn't put the right extras up for us. Here's the last message they sent me:

"GOG has not updated the CE version of the game with the digital extras yet (just the editor and manual). We are looking into that, and hope to have them made available soon.

The Kickstarter keys were already divided into standard and CE versions. If there is an issue with the keys themselves, or GOG's system recognizing them as CE versions, then that will either be fixed on GOG's end, or DLC keys provided."
I won the game a while ago in a giveaway by a very generous GOG user. I THINK it's the CE version but i can't be sure. When i check the receipt page you get when you enter the code, it says it's for the Divinity OS 2 CE Kickstarter version. I hope the stuff gets retroactively added because i wouldn't be able to get it otherwise. Not the end of the world but it would be nice to get them.

I assume for people who backed on Kickstarter but didn't go for the CE version that it doesn't mention CE on their GOG receipt.

I can confirm it shows as collectors edition on the receipt, but, and there might be the issue, the shown value is only the value of the base game.
Also i am very sure that when i originally redeemed my key three weeks ago, on the redemption page it did not say anything about being the collectors edition.
Well, if anything, at least it won't be hard to prove the level at which one backed, should GOG need this info.
According to Larian, the GOG keys were divided into 2 batches... CE (Divine Edition) keys and regular keys.
Everyone who had backed at the (digital) CE level or higher, was given one of the CE keys.
So in theory it should be easy for GOG to make the distinction, and to assign the correct batch of extras to everyone.

That said, however, it seems that GOG doesn't have a very good reputation in this regard... they already messed up the digital extras for quite a few Kickstarter projects. I definitely hope they have improved since then, and this will not be yet another notch on their list of failures in this regard...

I really can't say for sure how the reciept is, its been so long since I redeemed my key. What I do know is that the game doesn't say CE on my accounts page. What does your accounts page say? Also, there were some KS Tiers that offered 2 keys, one for the CE and one for a gift for a friend. I would have assumed that if you got gifted a key it would have been the extra (non-CE), but if the receipt said CE that should be the version you get in your library. I hope the person who gifted it to you didn't get stuck with the non-CE key, lol.

The value shouldn't matter, and its been noted in the past with games like Wasteland 2, that the KS versions of games are actually a separate (hidden) product in the GOG catalog. I think that's where the problem comes from with GOG not ever having the right goodies set up for people when they redeem their KS keys here. Its also the reason that people don't get update notifications for their KS games. This place needs a complete backend overhaul.

[Edit] I just checked my receipt and this is what it says: DISCOUNT – LR8S - DIVINITY ORIGINAL SIN 2 CE - KS BACKERS, DEV COST $ 44.99

Same problem here, I backed at the CE tier but only have the base game. It's not a big deal as the extras are available at Larian's website, but it would be nice to have them here as well. Let's hope it gets fixed soon.

It shows up as the regular version on my account but i think it's doing that for everyone right now.

If you go to your "Orders & settings" page you can search for Divinity, then just click view receipt from the drop down menu. I'd be interested to see what yours says too. Did you get the KS CE as well, and does it say so on your receipt?

I played through some of the Alpha/Beta stuff before the official release. It seemed really good. Tbh i'm trying to finish Zelda BOTW on Switch before i start any other long games, especially RPGs. That game will NOT end :/. I'm like 80 hours in and i still have a little over a quarter of the map unexplored ffs.

Yeah, my wife put in about 200 hours into BOTW, and I just bought her the DLC last month, so she's back at it again! I'm not a huge Zelda fan. I love the art style in all the games, and I enjoy hanging with my wife while she plays, but BOTW was the first Zelda game that I really wanted to play. The controls are fantastic, and I think I always get hung up on the controls when playing previous Zelda titles, so I never end up beating them.

As for D:OS2 I played a bit during the alpha/beta as well but didn't want to ruin the story for myself, so I stopped after about 10 hours. I made a new character to start when the full game was released, and when I started really loving it, I stopped playing because I never got around to playing through the first one, lol. So I'm actually going all the way back to Divinity 2 and I'm going to do what I did with The Witcher and power through the series. I'll skip Divine Divinity and its sequel for now, because I want to get to D:OS2 sometime in the next year, even though those games are quite good from what I've played of them in the past.

Ya i never got around to fully beating some of the previous Divinity games so i might do the same and try to get through the series before i start D:OS2. I also did the same with Witcher series when Witcher 3 released. After starting Witcher 1 a few times and stopping shortly afterwards, Witcher 3 finally pushed me to play through the whole series. I enjoyed Witcher 1 by the end, but man the gameplay is so rough (imo) that i had to push through a chunk of the beginning before i started enjoying it. It's still crazy to me the leap in quality CDPR managed to make between W1 & W3.

I also wanna beat Zelda BOTW before the 2nd DLC comes out near the end of the year i believe.
Well interesting idea of "very soon"...
At least don't promise such a thing if you cannot keep those promises.
agreed... "it should start happening very soon"... Konrad, could you please elaborate what the definition is of "very soon" at GOG? Is that before or after Christmas?
