tomimt: Interestingly thought, Jane Jensen managed to get higher average pledge. Her project got average of 75$/pledger where as Hero-U stands at 68$.

Mivas: My guess is that it's caused by:
1) Jane Jensen released a game recently (a potential backer has fresh, probably pleasant memories),
2) Her tiers give more stuff,
3) More of in-game materials,
4) It came sooner.

No. 3 and 4 are the strongest reasons, in my opinion.

And yay for reaching goal. Now let's talk about $500k goal and meep-companions :p.
If the stretch goal fails, I really hope they release meep companions as an update, cause I want a Meep!
They made it, btw. So just that you know. :-)

Initially I was turned off, but then rethought how their games affected my live (and it did, as it did to a lot) and pledged and even upped the pledged during the run .... great that it will happen.

Jane Jensen had a $50 tier with two games and the Gabriel Knight novels, and 30% more people went for it than for all $50+ tiers in the Hero-U kickstarter.

Nergal01: Ok, that one is safe, apparently.

Up next: Shadowgate.
Yep, I really hope Shadowgate goes through.
Funded! It was pretty close, but they got $409,150 in the end.
Not the biggest final strecth, I was expecting at least 450k, but none the less, I'm glad for the Coles. Now they can do their game, hopefully starting a new series.
glad this made it now just have to wait for the game
No doubt the shout outs from the Two Guys and Larry projects put this over the top.

The game is afoot! The reason for all the ex-Sierra people helping each other is they wish to start a New Sierra :O

Either that or they're just good people
Yup, success at last. Now we can all relax a bit. And with any luck we'll get enough people in on Paypal to make up for any failed pledges or even a stretch goal though that is probably unlikely.
Im glad they made it in the last couple of hours.
Mr. Cole is probably saying, "Uh-oh... Lori... we have no choice but to make the game now..."

Just kidding! Congratulation, Mr. Cole! Looking forward to this game!
Very glad to see it funded. I was quite pessimistic for a while, and I still feel they made some big mistakes that cost them a lot of potential pledges, but in the end what's important is that they got their budget and can now make their game.

Now I have only one small request: Please do not put in those annoying gnome characters. I'm replaying QfG 2 now, and wow, do I hate the magic shop owner. I just want to punch him in the face.
Big hugs and thumbs up to everyone here who contributed and got the word out.

I don't really care what this game is going to be like, but I am happy that Lori and Corey Cole are given some money to make a new game, as a thank you for the other great games they have made.

Uh oh. I think it's too late. I think there will probably be gnomes in Hero-U. The good news is that you'll probably be able to punch them in the face in Hero-U! It'll probably cost you some reputation points, but might be worth it. :D
