I have no problem with playing a set character, plenty of RPGs handle that well, so it’s not a deal breaker. It is just a different way of telling the story than the cliché tabula rasa that many games use. That said, it’s a bit disappointing that Malkavians aren’t among the playable clans. In Bloodlines 1, I always enjoyed playing them and the Nosferatu the most.

The game itself might still turn out to be good and fun to play, I have no idea yet. But there’s never any reason to pre-order a digitally delivered game.

guppy44: Hard to believe I preordered the Blood Moon Edition six and a half years ago and have just patiently waited to see what, if anything, I’d get.

For Science!
Interestingly enough Vampire: The Masquerade® - Bloodlines™ 2: Premium Edition shows up as owned after orginally preordering Blood Moon Edition :D. So we getting something at least -.- and our preorders got converted. Well game wise it gonna be "interesting" and not what we originally expectred for sure but i guess i take the for Science Stance here as well :D :D

Tarhiel: Impossible. They started from scratch, reusing only some assets. There is nothing left to dig up.

I really hope someone from the OG team had the clarity to make the latest backup of their work and when someone picks this IP up, they could just continue where they left off.

JomVanFliet: Or leak a build of the Hardsuit Labs version onto the internet, and let the fans have a go at it, similar to the Duke Nukem Forever (2001): Restoration Project.
Whatever would come out of that cannot be worse than this absolute disgrace masquerading as the sequel to Bloodlines.
Amen to that.

I was about to preorder it, then i saw they locked parts of the game behind a paywall...

Hard no for me...

Who knows, maybe it is a thin line distinguishing between utter nonsense and at least some form of sense
I'm pretty surprised, that this gets released before Star Citizen.

And having the full game locked into the full super duper premium edition is bullshit.

Right now I am actually replaying the original Bloodlines for the third time, and my god does this game still ooze of style 20 years after it's release! (㇏(•̀ᵥᵥ•́)ノ)

I think I will just wait and see what happens when it finally releases. But I will definitely not pay 90€ just to get a complete game.

Proves that it awards mean jack, considering their games suck... and not in the vampire way.

"Playing like Cyberpunk" is significant downgrade from "plays like Bloodlines".

BG3 does not play in the BG2 way...

Cyberpunk was a good game, and if they want to go into that direction, i don't mind for now.

And maybe enlighten me, was Bloodlines 1 a such free game?
For an RPG the options to build the character where limited (after selecting the clan), the open world was not that open, the story was very linear with decisions in between that not always did much and you where more or less steamrolled through the main story
There where side missions, but even Cyberpunk got those.
Bloodlines 1 got style, characters and details. But not that much RPG to be honest.

And should we talk about the Action orientated gameplay?

For me personally Bloodlines 1 always did feel always somewhere between Gothic and Cyberpunk, leaning to the Cyberpunk side on the RPG scale.

For me it is wait and see, it is just that the clans so uninteresting.
And the Malk in you head doesn't even sound like a Malk....

Love the lore and setting of Vampire: The Masquerade. But the price, four clans for launch, others cut away and sold as DLC smells like greed - waiting for reviews and patches on this one

Yes, and that's why I didn't play BG3. It's a great Divinity:OS title, but bad BG title. Personally, I think D:OS is better RPG than BG, but I am emotionally attached to BG2.

Cyberpunk after update was a meh game by the all things I heard.

I am sorry, it seems we didn't play the same game.

I know i know i know, it is hard to fall in a niche when it concerns taste, to have a love for something not easily found, i'm like that with women you know..... i mean of course in the end they all sound the same but, seriously looking for that one, when i find her, if , you bet she gonna be the prettiest girl of the century!!
Shut up, take my money & release already! :P
