Vampire: The Masquerade® - Bloodlines™ 2 is now available for pre-order on GOG in its Standard Edition, Premium Edition, or Deluxe Edition!

Moreover, Vampire: The Masquerade® - Bloodlines™ 2: Santa Monica Memories and Vampire: The Masquerade® - Bloodlines™ 2: Shadows & Silk are coming soon to our platform.
In this visceral vampire action RPG, you’ll hunt your way through a modern-night Seattle on the brink of an open supernatural war.

Pre-order now and play on October 21st, 2025!
The preorder bonus is just a "nostalgia" jukebox with some music from first game. The additional clans are a part of dlc (selling dlcs for unreleased game is a travesty). So ... let's wait for -66% discouint.

kotcore: Or you could just look at 2,5 hours of gameplay available on the internet site www.youtube.com and see that while it isn't like the original, it IS indeed a good game (and a lot more polished than the og is, even after decades of fan patches).

Some people really just looking for the dumbest reason to hate this game before it's even released.
Stay miserable gamers.

dudalb: Ah, fanboylogic.

tremere110: The game looks okay. I'll probably pick it up eventually. It doesn't seem to have the feel of Vampire the Masquerade though. No Humanity system and the ease of avoiding Masquerade breaches just doesn't feel right. The entire premise seems to fit better with Vampire the Requiem rather than VtM. It just seems very meh at this point and that day one DLC is pretty bad even coming from Paradox.

Maybe they'll release something that entices me, but as of right now I'm not at all excited for this release.

dudalb: And for alot of people, OK is not nearly good enough for the sequel to a classic like Bloodlines.
The fanboys are the ones crying that the sequel isn't the same as their 21 year old buggy mess.
Meaning it's actually polished and has good combat :D
I did my best to avoid all the controversy/issue with the production, but I still got enough to know this is not pre-order material. To be fair, most games aren't.

After watching the 2h video this feels like going from Deus Ex to Deus Ex: HR, which is not the worst thing, but I understand that's a matter of opinion.

Waiting for reviews seems like the smart thing to do. Story and characters are the main things I want to know some reviewer's opinions before purchasing. I really hope it's at least a buy on discount recommendation rather then full on 'nope'.

P.S. Paradox can take their dlc model and shove it!

That 'buggy mess' is why a sequel exists so I wouldn't write off the fans or the original if I were you.

Swedrami: The game can be as decent on its own and as competent of a Dishonored-clone as it wants all day long - it still has "Bloodlines" and "2" attached to it, and with that, especially when paired up to form "Bloodlines 2", come very specific expectations.
Expectations that demonstrably are going unfulfilled, across the board.

Then there's the baggage of the troubled development history characterised by nothing but mismanagement, short-sighted knee-jerk decisions (in particular the unceremonious sacking of writers Brian Mitsoda, Chris Avellone and creative director Ka'ai Cluney) as well as willful ignorance of well-meant appeals to turn things around and on course again, lest it all ends up, well, where it is now - up shit creek.

And to add insult to injury, Paradox just can't help itself and, of course, locks content in form of 2 character classes behind a paywall of drastically disproportionate 30 eurodollars. And wants to sell what therefore amounts to an incomplete game at 60 and 70 eurodollars for the Standard resp. Deluxe Edition.

God forgives, veterans of resp. anyone who gives a shit about Bloodlines (2004) don't.
\

That's the point. Expections for a sequel to a game as beloved as Bloodllines are going to be sky high, and the compnay has better deliver . It does no thave to a great as the original..which is hard thing to do..but i needs to be really good. OK just will just not do here for many fans of the oriiginal
Don't know why but something tells me that the important questions probably were left out...

It seems they are going change something about the limited access for the clans. They just posted this on twitter

Too little, too late, the damage is already done.

The only way to salvage this is by dropping "Bloodlines 2" from the title.

In my opinion, it doesn’t matter what they call the game. They could name it Bloodlines 2 or Bloodlines 64.8, or Aardvarks in Space or just Bob for all I care. The only thing I really care about is whether the game is fun to play or not.

I don't understand why everyone is so upset.

It's a game about vampires. It's supposed to suck.

I'll see myself out.

Yeah, the title is unfortunate as hell but it's too late to do anything about it. On the upside i don't think at this point anyone still makes any kind of mental connection between VTMB and this title so i think the risk of shattered expectations is neglectable at worse.

......

As for the hostile pricing, wtf are we doing now ?

Once upon a time buying a game felt like my money was going out as just compensation for work and just reward for investment risk in the form of a little profit. Nowadays more and more it feels like my money is going out to fund mismanagement, disconnect and political activism.

On top of all of that i'm now being asked, via disingenuity and hostile pricing, to sponsor the industry's burning desire to set games' base price at 80/90 euros ? Hell no, i'm done with foolery and if that means skipping every single high profile title from here to eternity so be it, it's not like i haven't become an expert at skipping high profile titles in these last years.

Still, no ill will towards the game or any of the folks, in whichever capacity, involved in making it available to the general public, at the end of the day we're all just a bunch of people making our own money decisions - as it should be.

Anyways, big ass sale on, browsing mode engaged.

You win the bad joke of the week award.

I find it interesting that this games biggest fanboy here has to basically trash the original.

"Far out, man! Far fucking out!"
Could be a passable game (ignoring the day 1 DLC....), just not Bloodlines at all.

I had said it when it was originally announced and I will say it again - the biggest mistake they could have done was naming it Bloodlines 2. And they went ahead and did it anyway.

They wanted the marketing value and built in fanbase that Bloodlines has.
Of course that is a two edges sword. Dissapoint, get too far away from the original, the fans will turn on you.
