EBWOP - Didn't refresh, Quad did post. But I think my questions still stand.

@lift - I didn't see your post either before I posted. Also considering your subsequent post. That's food for thought. I don't see bler as scum, he's my strongest town read. The others I can see the possibilities. I'm not convinced that majority of scum had to be on the wagon, although possible. If babark is town, scum often avoid the wagon and let townies lynch their own. You seem pretty sold that Stanari is scum, where does she fit into all of that?

Stanari was quite solidly on the babark train for a while until it became apparent that it wasn't going anywhere. Then she started suggesting a Dessimu train instead - witout actually ever voting Dessimu. (Posts and [url=https://www.gog.com/forum/general/oakwood_village_forum_mafia_game_42/post1097]1097). So she started a train without actually commiting herself - while already telegraphing that she might end up on the train after all. I.e. she conserves the capability to hammer. So: starting an alternative train without commiting/voting, showing concern that Dess might be town after all and yet pre-announcing an eventual hammer (so that it doesn't look too scummy when it comes to that) - all in all a nice scum feat. So yes, out of the people on the babark train, Stanari is still my main suspect. I think a townie, convinced that Dess is a better train than babark, would have put her vote where her words were and would not just have pushed others to start the train.
I want to scream at you all so much right now! >:(

In short: I am good consideration and I love my wagon; I am good to be poked with a hot iron, but I am bad to be lynched. I am a smith, rather talented in making traps as much as farming equipement.

Make of that what you will, I got to go to work. I should be available in 6 hours. Or 7.

Not to break drealmer's rules:

Vote: yogsloth He roars too much.
I'm getting ready to head to work so this will be really brief.

Christi - I was able to skim a little yesterday at work, so I think the question you are waiting on from me is about Crimson Fox an dessimu. I don't find it incongruent at all. I don't see why an early uncompelling vote on someone makes them unlikely to be aligned. Early distancing is a really common thing. But most importantly, I won't know until after the game what Crimson Fox was. If he was group scum, only his partners know that. I'm not basing my whole world view of the game on Fox being scum; I have absolutely no idea how to read the guy, so I can't really even make an educated guess based on what he posted.

It was more a musing on my own lack of finding people I feel really good about being scum. I could just be giving people too much credit for little things that are swaying me from their suspicious behavior. IDK. There are other possibilities for this issue. I doubt there are several factions this game, but that would make sense for my issue because then they would be hunting for the other team.

Stanari - Why did that look like a town post of dess's? Why couldn't scum say that?

Dess' last post is rather uninspiring and didn't move me to move my vote.

I'll look at lift when I get home from work tonight and catch up in full.

My order of preference of what's available would be dessimu/lift/barback I suppose. Barack still has that over defensive town quality to him.
Oh and I would really like to see Stanari's response to Lift about why she was pushing for a dessimu wagon but didn't vote him.

Okay really heading off now.

I actually liked the last post by dessimu. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt for today.

Unvote dessimu
Vote babark

I find this extended absence by nacho very disconcerting though, I hope he shows up soon.
Unvote Babark.
Unvote Dessimu.

Can we please go with some clean method to move along? Did anyone see my proposal at bottom here?

I'll lead by example at bottom of this post.

trentonlf: I find this extended absence by nacho very disconcerting though, I hope he shows up soon.
Second time now... it must be something personal... or else, didn't the previous time also happen after I pushed him a bit?

Nacho in the shade, Nacho in the shade...

Heh, Stan snipes, seems to be her style. I find it endearing... mostly...

avatar
cristigale: I don't remember who, but someone today said something about Dessimu "lurking as usual" Really?? Or did I misread? Does Dessimu typically lurk?
Maybe it was me? I think I said something like that.

I played him both of the previous games and that was my feeling of his style. He does not post much, pops in, comments a bit, disappears. I think I even noticed he seemed to be online much more than he posted... Of course, he was scum in the Resistance game, and got killed N1 in Vitek's game.

I'm sure you know him better. In fact, I wanted to ask you, because I really liked your logic on Stan's wagon value vs babark's. What do you think of value of wagon on Dess? Might influence my vote.

avatar
bler144: I don't know, you are pretty good at turning WIFOM into, uh, wine.
Is it wine or somewhat thicker?

avatar
Stanari: I'm just going to preempt your squinting here.
Excuse you? I like squinting...

@ all

So, if I am keeping track properly we have babark with 6 votes (+ Trent, Lift), then Dess with 3 (- trent), RW with 2
Stan only 1 (- Lift), Lift 1, and Yog 1 (+ Dess)

According to my proposal, I, Nacho and Dess should move up, and then if RW wagon is still much smaller than Dess or babark so should those on that one.

So, my vote:
1 - Stan is a no go clearly, can't say I'm too upset...
2 - I'm not moving to RW, I think his wagon is half OMGUS from babark so either of the other options is better for reads.
3 - I still have laura / babark as slight town on derp. Dess is null, although I get second thoughts from his last post, can be WIFOM.
4 - I don't think voting a lurker is the best option, I continue to have favorites for lynch elsewhere
5 - Dess wagon is likely to be more interesting than babark's IMO - certainly its almost spontaneous combustion was eyecatching.

Unvote Stanari
Vote Dessimu

So babark 6
Dess 4
RW 2

Shitty vote better than no vote. :(
Can Nacho and Dess himself close the 1 man wagons and commit to an actual vote please?

If they tie RW with Dess I don't know... but otherwise those on RW should IMO also start considering a change. So we go to trial still today - so to speak.
I'm also going to defend the smith here.

I don't like the fact that the wagon formed right when a second wagon was wanted / hoped for - seemed a bit orchestrated (though I guess it could be just chance or people uncertain). I feel like Mafia is going with something I call the "Telika Strategy" - grind the game to a mind numbing halt, waiting until all townies' eyes glaze over, then strike with the perfect lynch on their desired target. "Fine, fine, you're right it's a good idea to lynch the uber-role/alignment bulletproof cop with 7 vig shots, JUST PLEASE MAKE IT END!"

Plus, he's a smith. Brasas, what's the matter with that vote, no longer interested in silver bullets? I am.

Vote Babark
Lift actually made a few interesting points. I almost forgot you were playing in this game though...not quite like you.

The Dess wagon seems pretty quick, but we are seemingly approaching deadline. Is it just convenient or started due to deadline pressure? Who knows? I'm not unopposed to it because we really need to lynch somebody to gain information lest tomorrow start out like day currently is, confused and deadlocked. But if Dess were to flip Town, we really need to look hard at Tammy. Either way, we can't go into Day 2 with two elephants in the room. I think most people know my stance on No-Lynch, sorry Dess...

I'm on Babark for now but if it comes down to it, you can count on my vote for Dess.

I know. IRL can be a bitch and got me lynched before (Women's Institute for Organizational Management). And with reason too, lurking is bad, even when I do it myself. But it can't always be avoided. We have a huge conference next week and I am in the organizational committee and I am currently at a pre-meeting. So my presence here will be strongly fluctuating for the week to come.

... and to comply with the rules, I classify this post as defense of myself. ;-)
I love how helpful you are being in your last few posts...you are making a good case for yourself...

I probably made those doors, I made almost all the doors in the community. Don't ask me why a carpenter would specialize in doors though...you'll have to take that up with Drealmer...
Okay, this claim business is really confusing me. Everyone telling me I should've claimed, and that not claiming when I was L1 is somehow scummy.

...but isn't claiming (I'm assuming you mean a PR) exactly what scum would do at that point? And even if it is an actual claim, isn't that basically just an invitation to get killed at night?
Like..Ix survived a lynch (probably?) by claiming. Wouldn't that paint a huge target on his back for the night? And if he's still alive tomorrow, wouldn't that basically mean he's probably scum?

Also, I wasn't sure about Dessimu. What is the reason to be suspicious? Someone mentioned lurking, but the timestamp says Dess was last here 6 hours ago.

Oh yeah, please don't lynch me. I'll bake you delicious rolls, and knit(?) you a quilt. I'm good at that, apparently.
