Ixamyakxim: So you don't know either huh?
I have zero idea what the motivation was for this post - at least done quite this way. That's not even shade on you, I'm just completely confused.

Are you trying to be chummy/conciliatory? Just making small talk?

avatar
Brasas: now this, and yet hardly any reaction. Just a collective shrug of shoulders?

Bookwyrm627: What did you want to see, wailing and gnashing of teeth? If there is no flip at all, then there is no flip; I'm personally hoping the No Flip was only because it was a mod-kill. We'll know more by Day 2.
Mulled a bit more. My new working theory is that Drealmer remembers the impact him getting mod-killed D1 (with flip) had on flub's game and doesn't want to skew the game and risk it imploding before there's even a real D1 wagon.

He also played in the Epsilon game, not that flips were the problem there, but mod intervention certainly.

This is his first game that he's spent months on, there are some new faces, and I think he'd like it to play to a successful conclusion. Not that Fox was particularly up in the mix, but info is info. Perhaps moreso if he was non-town, but I really don't want try mind-reading Drealmer quite that much.

For now I think I'm abandoning my potential game-breaking solution and just assuming we will see flips on game-caused kills.

Though, being paranoid again, if there are no flips I think that probably pushes us back towards the multiple factions theory.

But I'm not inclined to say it seems likely. No-flips doesn't really seem to fit the flavor (maybe with the NKs if people keep getting devoured, though surely these people have rooms full of stuff).

But lynches should absolutely be a flip unless his flavor is that we're dissolving suspects in vats of acid...for some reason.

Bookwyrm627: What did you want to see, wailing and gnashing of teeth? ... snip
Yes? No? Maybe?

You're always on my back somehow, and that gives me fond memories of the previous game. Know what I mean?

Let me spell it out:
1 - I share so my progression is visible to others, they can read me, I think that's the way this should be played.
2 - there's always a chance reactions will include a scum slip of sorts.

What gets my goat is that it's maybe no flip (on its own fine with me), but also totes closed setup, AND so far undisclosed key mechanics. It's like the perfect storm. And I know I'm being unfair to Drealmer here.. well, I hope I am... but I can only imagine how happy scum must be feeling with all this clusterf...ry.

I have no heuristics and I really don't like it...

Taking off to watch anoher game tonight. Tomorrow should be able to post more and follow more closely at least. Maybe that'll help.

I'm both struggling to maintain full motivation and trying not to suck up all the oxygen in the room myself.

But I mean... f it. Let's just kill somebody.

Unvote trentonlf (Marie)

Killing my own mother does seem a bit passé.

Vote Ixamyakxim (Emma)

Well this sucks but time to nip this in the bud.

I'm town - I have an compulsory, NON-SPECIFIED (?) town investigative role. I'm guessing I'm not the only one with such a role, but if you do don't go all out defending me as it's bad enough handing scum one power role, let alone multiple.

Vote bler144

I actually had you leaning town, because I thought it highly unlikely that scum would push so hard over such trivial issues on a town player.

But your dangerous tunneling on me has already tossed one bone to scum and I don't think it will be helpful to town going forward.

Interesting. Presumably you mean you're not specifying, not that your PM doesn't specify?

That's mostly a dig at Drealmer, not you. I'll explain in a minute. Don't take it so personal. ;)

Without fishing for details on what kind of investigative role you have, in the Fortune game when you had a PR you did the whole HiJack "I'm not getting lynched today" bit when you first had an early wagon. Here you were back on your heels.

What's up with that?

Also, you seem to be saying I'm not scum just town tunneling you so you...vote for me? Seems odd. Do you think I'm scum now or you just want to kill a townie who is wrong on you?

Anywho, moving on - more broadly, I asked Drealmer about what my own flip would say. Instead of a straight answer I got a well-written flavor post completely trolling me back about how I'm either anxious about my mortality and what it all means. Or alternatively I'm pregnant and have morning sickness. I admit I started skimming when I could see he was trolling me, and it ends with me throwing up.
a player does not have to unvote no-lynch in order to place a vote on a player

(Ix's vote for bler does count)
Thanks for the bump.

Two more questions for Ix:

1) What role, if any, did your PR play in your decision to slide into the initial No Lynch vote? Probably more importantly:

2) Why the heck are you claiming at L-4 when even L-0 apparently doesn't even end discussion?

Reread my post.

As for why now. This is moving toward a lynch. You can tell - "natives are restless" and all that - we've talked around in circles for days and people are clearly ready for action.

If I'm killed tonight so be it but after stalling my wagon was moving forward. I wasn't going to wait.

I'm sad now, because I think I believe this BS, as much as I hate that vote. And I do hate that vote.

With much complaining, I
Unvote Ixamyakxim.
Vote Quadralien.

But that makes no sense. You had stated previously that you thought your wagon was scum-bait. Why not wait to see who takes the bait?

Or are you convinced scum are already packed into the 5 (+Lift) votes you have and that none more were going to get on? If you're the bait and have a good town claim, why not relax and relish being the bait to spring the trap?

And which of the questions I asked did you cover in a prior post? I'm not seeing you address how drawing a PR influenced your no lynch vote, or any of the other questions besides this one.

IDK, on the one hand I'm kinda inclined to believe your claim, or at least let it ride (though there's enough WIFOM scum wouldn't necessarily have to kill you - could just block you, e.g.). On the other, I still really can't make sense of what you're doing.

Which was true for Wyrm at one point as well, but at least he's kind of gotten back in flow.

Me too.

It was a game-winning call in JMich's game to swallow Ix's codswallop that turned out to be true after all... and this feels the same.

Unvote Ixamyakxim

And since I have to have an active vote at all times...

Vote yogsloth

Not because I'm suicidal - I have no intention of killing myself - but because I need to think it over and I don't want to just be an ass and throw another vote out there. Darn double-posting penalty.

I admit, it was a bit for dramatic effect.

*Emma adjusts her frock, clearly uncharacteristically (heh!) huffy after the village she loved and trusted so much turned on her at a moments notice*

How dare you suggest I do *that* to dear Julie! I could have left you people and travelled to Nashua, but no! I dared stay, to help Sean and Dan tend the herds, to lend my hand with Claire feeding us. I even played music, danced and laughed with the lot of you in happier days!

This is how we respond to such events? And now look what you've done to me! Now I'm not better than the lot of, casting aspersions and doubt!

(and I could almost get on board with a Quad vote - doc simply asked for a bit more participation from quad, and quad promptly caused the docbear movement with some clever quoting - much more effective than the simple defensive, preemptive vote because quad almost slid off the hook with it AND got some movement on docbear).
