[This is a sticky post, it will be visible in every single page of this thread. It has been published in October 2020.]

Our moderation team decided not to take a side in the discussion since this giveaway thread was created by the community and, as long as there are no forum rules violated, is up to you, dear Gogers, to decide its fate. We will not set giveaway rules, edit the OP's post, nor lock the whole thread.

However, to make it easier for newcomers to understand the situation (about the OP being inactive and other), I will stick my own post right above the first one.

You are, of course, free to create new threads to start anew and make your own, clear rules. At the same time, please stay reasonable when crating them, as multiple new duplicates might make it even more confusing for many Gogers.

That being said, here you can find a post with dxenija's community poll to have better understanding of the situation: CLICK.

At the time of writing, open giveaway threads are:
- Massive Giveaways Blog (this one)
- Free (temporary) keys giveaway central topic.
- Updated Itch.io giveaways

Be nice to each other *flies away*

Orkhepaj: Is this a good game Crusader Kings 2?
Not bad, you can try it for free. The base game is F2P on steam.
Another one on itch, Shines Over II, horror, first one is freeware.
And apparently also the VR version of Myrdalssandur, Iceland, walking sim recreating the location, dev has a few others in a similar vein, also regular version free, VR paid.
Hours left on both.

Standard version for this one is also free on Steam, but not the VR version. Same is true for Fushimi on Itch and Steam.

Their New Zealand one is a similar deal, but they don't have a Steam version

Catac1ysm: steam://install/287630 - The Council - Episode One (Free)
Hey @Catac1ysm, this is great !!

For those eventually wondering just HOW to make this work, there are at least 2 ways...

1. 'normal' method would be to paste that onto the Windows Menu. Well, on my side - running Windows 7 with a number of disabled services - it didn't work at all, so ---> #2 ...

2. paste the same thing onto browser's address bar. This worked for me (using Brave browser); I suppose it should also work on Chrome / other Chromiun-based browsers.

I believe it would work best if you already have the Steam Client open, fully updated & restarted, and logged in.

About the "Episode One" bit: I skimmed over some user reviews on Steam for this title, and got the impression it contains the episodes 4-5 as well ! Not tested personally though.

Cheers
There's a dev page on ITCH with 13 games at 100% discount (= free !).

Now I've been there before and many of these games were given away at some point or other in the past. However I found that 3 of them were not in my library yet - so you guys might wish to re-check the list for good measure.

This will be seemingly my last finding for today: another IIO freebie -

That Microsoft freebie has some crazy system requirements: The computer must have both an ARM processor and an x86 from Intel (yup, only Intel).

As far as I understand it, it's likely an iOS game ported over for computers (there is also an Android version). The ported version on Steam records requirements quite differently, so I wouldn't read too much into the requirements for a free game over knowing whether it works or not.

And as for where ARM and x86 is concerned, one could be misreading it to think that. But if you want to satisfy both requirements for whatever reason, go with emulation.

I am not much of a tech person. Crazy as in?
