budejovice: That purple Galaxy banner on the front page might be put to better use thusly: "DO NOT BUY GOG KEYS AT G2A"
This sounds like a job for: CSS Santa!
.galaxy-banner__section--logo:after {
content: "DO NOT BUY GOG KEYS AT G2A!";
padding: 7px 80px 8px;
font-size: 20px;
font-weight: 600;
line-height: 24px;
color: #F6D4FF;
display: block;
text-shadow: 1px 1px rgba(0,0,0,.8);
text-align: center;
}
.galaxy-banner__section--logo:before, .galaxy-banner__section--text {
display: none;
}
I don't have the banner displayed myself, but if you'd prefer to replace it with something, just put whatever you want between the quotes following "content:". This is not limited to text. To use an image, use:
content: url("URL");
For example:
content: url("
http://images-2.gog.com/79429e097ac499290497415f13c0a1747a07659fc7b53f8cc07f1b0afd569333_800.jpg");
This is, of course, completely useless to anyone. But it can provide a nice, custom welcome message if you want to feel like GOG is talking to you, or is self-conscious. For example:
content: "Hello, Dave. Welcome back. I have disabled gifting. It made my ass look fat.";
or
content: "Oh hey, you! Oh, you wanted to get a 'gift'? You know what, I'm kinda tired today. Let's do this tomorrow night instead, OK? Come back tomorrow. I have a headache.";
Though as I've said before, any attempt at tinkering with GOG
WILL cause it to explode. So don't do it, kids. Stay away from forest fires, too. Kids don't let bears start fires or something.
