UnrealQuakie: DAMN! I knew it, ugh I know people make patches to get rid of those issues, I won't say I will be looking for one ;)
Do as you like but I am not sure multi will be playable.. Wouldn't be better to play proper Quake? ; )

seems like no one even bothered making a crack to have it run without steam and I do own the Original quake 3 modded to hell but there is the little things here and there that I wanted from quake live like the full gun models and new machine gun that replaces the stock option, And maps and some mods but maybe I might just say fuck it to that and stick with the original.

I think for bot match you may try using assets from QL with regular Quake III. May or may not work ; )

bazilisek: If anyone wants to help by checking Steam games, first look at this pastebin of games we have already tested so you don't have to waste your time.
You can add Distant Worlds: Universe to the DRM free Steam game list.

Distant Worlds: Universe was able to launch and run after renaming the Steam directory.

Slitherine(game publishers) confirmed that DW:U has no DRM.

The OP has stopped posting in the thread and as a result, it's now dated. You should instead post your findings here. You should also mention what operating system you were using when you were testing the game.

Will do.
I don't know if it is DRM-Free, and it comes with its own Paradox launcher, but Stellaris will run without being logged into Steam or even having the process open. That's pretty sweet if you ask me

Is the pastebin a list of game that aren't DRM-Free?
NEON STRUCT runs fine without the Steam client. In the game's license the developers actually say this:

"We believe that DRM is harmful to gaming culture and ineffective in combating piracy. For these reasons, we do not include DRM in our games. We ask that you respect this decision by not pirating this game."

which I think is pretty cool. It is a really good game, with cool visuals and an awesome soundtrack.

This thread is no longer updated. Post your findings in the thread below instead, along with the OS you tested the game on:

Thanks for letting me know, Grargar. I didn't notice this thread was no longer updated. I remembered there being a thread about DRM free games on Steam and this was the first thread the forum search came up with. ;)
