Finally, the sky is within our grasp! Did you reach out to it already? Are you planning on doing so during the weekend? Well go on, show us how your universe looks like!

Every planet in the vast, boundless galaxy of No Man's Sky is a unique ecosystem, with different vistas, creatures, and environmental conditions greeting each and every one of us when we begin our adventure.

So to all you explorers out there: capture these opening moments of your journey in a one-minute video or grab some luscious screenshots and share them here with the rest of us spacefarers.

So, GOGarins, how does your universe look like?
My Adventure:

Booted Fraps then the game, held E... found myself on a pinky, purple planet, very blurry and a constant warning of radiation(excessive use of DOF?). Looked about a bit, watched my frame rate dip to around 10fps when I shot a tiny little mammal thing proceeded to shoot a couple of plants all whilst struggling with the stuttering & juddering framerate. Changed some default settings (turned off AA, AF, dropped down settings to medium) rebooted the game.

Shot another little animal, got attacked by a weird flying drone thing which brought friends. Framerate still bouncing about wildly. Ran out of charge on my multi-tool and aimlessly interacted with things around the ship whilst getting shot at.
Hid in the ship and tried to work out what I was doing, got back out and fiddled with the objects in the immediate vicinity. Watched my framerate bounce about again so finally surrendered to the idea I might have to change my resolution down from 1080p to 720p. (I'm on a i5 3570k, Nvidia 660GTS, 16GB DDR3).

Restarted.... grimaced at how rubbish the game now looked visually but worked out how to charge my multitool, fired back at the drones which were still hanging out around me & watched my framerate bottom out again. Activated the atlas and opted for the tutorial but nothing happened so I chased a nearby cow like animal and whilst shooting at it I found I could feed it iron which befriended it. Befriending the cow thing didn't do anything meaningful and more flying drones turned up and started attacking me along with the framerate dips. Ran out of charge again, framerate is still rediculous & I refuse to lower any settings any more so.......

Got sick of the broken, pile of poorly optimized junk that GOG had sold me, remembered Will Wright's Spore & saying 'Never again'. Felt like a prat for having wasted money, went to watch something on Netflix instead.

The End.

amrit9037: I guess dev was talking about steam and patch will arrive here in one or two days (or GOG can surprise their customers).
If Hello Games isn't using Galaxy's patching system that that is just stupid, we should not have to wait at all. There obviously using the API for achievements.

EDIT :First patch seems to be Steam specific according to blue, and does not effect GOG version.

Here's my adventure:

Installed the game, tightened my seat belt, hit the launch button, watched some stars fly by, came to a white screen, and crashed to desktop

That was fun, so I did it several more times

The End

B0sc0 the blue stated over in the release thread that the patch on Steam is for a Steam-related issue that doesn't apply to the GOG release.

Yea I just seen that. Game is working decent enough for me, a few lag spikes but overall pretty good.
Killing sentinel drones, harvesting lots of iron and gold, oh and collecting creatures and credits.

Still have not managed to repair the ship but hey I found a trade center :D
Just discovered an outpost with this little guy hanging out in it. See pic.

Er, did you see this post about getting the pre-order ship? Your pic reminded me of it.

My weekend playlist? ... DIablo 3 I guess. :S
No Man's Sky? When it gets cheaper... but some reviews are not that positive, so I'm curious.
The game crashes right at start. What an adventure! Join me.
I have everything on patched and it still says "Initialise" (yeah with s not with z) for about 30min now :(

Well, when are you going to initialize? I mean, it sounds to me it's telling you to do something. Otherwise I'd expect it to say "Initializing". What's the manual say about how to initialize?

Hmm, someone earlier in this thread (I think) said something about pressing the E key, or maybe holding it down. Maybe that?
