Finally, the sky is within our grasp! Did you reach out to it already? Are you planning on doing so during the weekend? Well go on, show us how your universe looks like!

Every planet in the vast, boundless galaxy of No Man's Sky is a unique ecosystem, with different vistas, creatures, and environmental conditions greeting each and every one of us when we begin our adventure.

So to all you explorers out there: capture these opening moments of your journey in a one-minute video or grab some luscious screenshots and share them here with the rest of us spacefarers.

So, GOGarins, how does your universe look like?

Here's a true GOG setup.
And what abou this healty one? ;D
But…but… both of yours lacks a toilet. And no tank of H2O for rehydration. And no microwave for cooking. And no flyswatter for fending off the critters. Seriously lacking in sustainability.
I'll repost my review from the non-sequitor thread:

Note that this is based solely on my (nonexistent) experience with the game:

Pros:
None

Cons:
None

Final Score:
0/0
(Note that this is not the same as 0/10)

Note: I do not currently intend to get the game, so my score will likely remain 0/0 forever, or at least for a very long time.

amrit9037: LOL
It literally became No Man's Sky since no one is able to run it. :P
Didn't know what all the fuss was about then I took a look at the steam page and forum => Seems like the gates of hell have opened :o)
Adventures with the white screen perhaps?

On steam, it's mostly negative with a lot of people being unable to launch, getting low framerates, plus actual bugs with the gameplay itself. I foresee a longer period of patching to get it whipped up into better shape.
Lol what a mess.
Oh GOG, you know how to tease your customers, rofl...

My universe in Starpoint Gemini 2 looks great. Watched Angry Joe switching between being bored and ranting(not only because of the frequent crashes) in his stream for 2 1/2 hours, decided to wait with buying till patches and content updates are done and the game is at least half the price.

Btw the Steam reviews look also nice.

I haven't seen this rocky of a launch since the space shuttle Challenger.

At least they're keeping to the space theme (seriously though GOG, we're all sitting at 1.00, at least give us 1.03 before making a thread like this).

Patch 1.03 was a Day-Zero PS4 patch. Not home yet to try installing the PC version. Do you know for sure that the current version doesn't include the applicable fixes/changes from PS4 v. 1.03? (Not counting any extra PC bugs.)

Edit: I do see Sean has mentioned a PC patch/hotfix now.

This thread is like sprinkling salt and peppers to open wounds.
Anyway a little wait for patch never hurts.
Hello Games please don't make people lose faith in indie devs with bigger dreams.

Yeah and unless GOG breaks a time honoured process of taking until Monday to apply patches issued by the developer on Friday, this is going to mean longer wait for us than for Steam, which sucks...

HUM HUM.... COUGH COUGH....

I don't know how it goes in Poland but here in Western Europe, it's the 15th August on Monday, aka the Assumption of Mary so it's an holiday for everyone. So maybe you can expect the patch not before Tuesday ;)
Okay.
Those who are having trouble in running game can follow few directions by dev Sean Murray.
1. Biggest issue reported so far is players without the Visual C++ Redist 2010. First PC patch released already! Update and restart if needed.

2.Number two issue so far is players who have out of date GFX drivers, or none installed. Please install latest drivers from AMD and nVidia.

3.Number three please make sure your GFX card is above the min spec. OpenGL 4.5 is required to play No Man's Sky

I guess dev was talking about steam and patch will arrive here in one or two days (or GOG can surprise their customers).
Right now S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Cernobyl, but I think about starting Risen.

Good grief. Well, in the mean time I'm trying all the things the reddit thread are suggesting, one after the other. I'd already fully updated my graphic card drivers to the most recent ones last night in preparation for today (and while my OpenGL shows 4.4 the reddit thread says if 4.5 is showing 90% on a 4.4, like mine is, there should be no problem), but I'll try installing a beta branch driver that's got 4.5 and see if that works. Everything else I've tried, but judging from people with 4.5, the most recent Hello Games update, and way better specs than me in every way saying the game hitches and skips and lags...I'm just guessing the devs have to work on compatibility, not the hardware manufacturers (i.e. it's not a driver problem) and then whatever timelag delay GOG puts on that eventual patch release...they should have said the release date was September 1st since at this point it seems like that'll be when people can play the game without massive issues.
