Not likely.
I'd like to say that not all new members are untrustworthy.

As the title said, i just wanted to list known scammers to warn people about them.

Suddenly it feels like 20 rep for GOG steamgift club is too low :(

No wonder there was a person here created a contest which required at least 100 rep. I was away from this forum for a while, thought that was too steep. However, after browsing this thread, it had to be done...

100 rep requirement is extremely unfair. It is basically telling every new user to fuck off and fuck off for a long time just because of a few bad people. 20 rep requirement is reasonable.

100 rep is roughly four months of forum activity. Fair enough for me.

Easy for to say. When you were new, you didn't have to wait 4 months in order to participate in giveaways. A 100 rep requirement is draconian.

I don't see the problem. Giveaways are usually a reward for the community being so great. To be part of that community takes a bit of time.

GOG is not a lottery where everybody should come in and grab games.
I never realised that scamming here was so prevalent :(

How about a compromise. If you make a giveaway, you don't allow people with less than 100 rep BUT you can make an exception if they get vouched for by some older user that you trust (you being the only one that decides if the older user is trustworthy or not)

But 4 months? You can be a soldier in the U.S. Army after basic training which is around two months but you can't be a member of the GOG community after two months? 20 rep usually takes 1 month of being active. Do you really think most people are going to create 100 ALTs and then be active with each one for a month to make sure they always win the free games? I don't think there are that many people in this world insane enough to do that.

Agreed

This is why we are advising many people either do competitions or the very least, post codes in pictures or puzzles when they do ninja-giveaways to combat scripts

That didn't bother me at all, even though I'm not at a 100 rep (despite joining years ago, I admittedly wasn't all that active for a long time). If someone wants to give something away, who am I to tell him/her how to go about doing it?
