Find what you're looking for faster, easier, and with style.


As some of you have already noticed, today we launched an overhauled navigation system for GOG.com. The goal is simple: to make it faster, simpler, and better for you to explore our store and find what you're looking for.

Browsing our catalog has never been easier: mouse over the Store tab for a neat dropdown menu that contains ongoing sales, a detailed breakdown of our games categories, and several top-tier suggestions.
To bring our games closer to you, we've also made several improvements to our search engine, so locating the title you're after should be much more straightforward now. Those accessing our store through mobile will notice that these changes have dramatically improved their experience, as well.

But that's not all! If you want to reach Support, interact with the Community, or manage your Account, you'll find that the intuitive dropdown menus make for a much more fluid experience, saving you time that could be spent playing your favorite games!

Your account name and avatar are now clearly visible on top at all times, so you can tell at a glance if you're logged in and on which account. Last but not least, redeeming gift codes and switching between languages or currencies is now more readily available with no need to scroll to the bottom of the page.

What about the inability to properly use the site on mobile phones (at least with Chrome)?

Well, now there's a new problem - chat became utterly unusable:
It only shows (last? random?) 4 users you've chatted with or sent you messages, and once you read (or more precisely click) these, the chat list resets again with showing only 4 users, pushing the previous chats into "search username in chat" oblivion.
And what if you don't recall the name of the user that chatted with, lets say a week ago? tough luck, as I see no way of finding out.

On a different note - Is it new one can see a list of "topics with unread replies" above the list of threads in the COMMUNITY?
There's also a full list of "Topics I've participated in" if you keep scrolling and click the "show more" button.
These will be great to add to the quick links in the bar - if that one worked properly, as it sometimes doesn't unhide at all and I must click on the tab to open it before I see the links inside.

Well for some obscure reason I'm currently browsing on Internet Explorer 11, so the issues might be confined to that bowser. I'll check other browsers as well to make sure...
Hmm, it seems chat still shows just 4 but did re-add the nav button to list the other chats. 3 out of the 4 are the last chats, the 4th is an empty chat... oh well, I see the rest seem to be coherent to the timeline.

No, that notification/link has been appearing there since...well, probably since the forums were launched. :)

Probably not really "full" -- due to a bug, all but the most recent few topics in which you've posted will disappear from that section if a thread in that list gets deleted for any reason. It's rather irritating.

Regarding the last part, the stalker bar, when expanded, provides links, but still seems quite empty in my perspective.
Adding links to "recent posts" and "Topics I've participated in" under COMMUNITY will make sense.
My issue as that there are times when the stalker bar doesn't expand on mouse over at all, and I'm forced to click on the section.
