Which games are keeping you company this weekend?

Whoa, it's the weekend already?! That means less time spent on meeting deadlines and more time spent on meeting our untimely virtual deaths! Or building stuff. Or solving puzzles. Or scoring goals. Or doing other cool stuff that our fleshy selves cannot (yet) accomplish.

So which games are keeping you busy these days?
Go on, share your Weekend Playlists with us. They can include single-player games, multiplayer games, console exclusives, anything - we are not judging. In fact, we are sharing too!

Looking for some inspiration, perhaps? The GOG.com releases of the week are here for you:

- You can hop around the enchanting, dimly-lit rooms of Lumo
- You can turn hordes of monsters into piles of sweet loot in Torchlight II
- You can revisit a recently updated galaxy and become the new Master of Orion
- You can slice, dodge, and jump your way to your queen in Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight
- You can build unlikely machines that might or might not fly in SimplePlanes
- You can terrorize the streets as the uncontrollable OmniBus
- You can leave your mark in the architectural history of the world in Caesar™ IV

morrowslant: Planning on rampaging through King of Dragon Pass, and dabble around in FreeCiv.
Freeciv is going to hurt me, I need to relearn ALL the commands and what the map tiles mean.
Did the Civ 6 announcement prompt the return?
avatar
haydenaurion: Followed that up by beating the remaining mission packs for Quake 2 over the rest of the week.
And here I am, still slogging through Reckoning, another week later. Well, playing one to zero levels per day doesn't help, I guess. Speaking of zero, did you play Zaero too?

As for other stuff, I did beat Yu Yu Hakusho Tournament Tactics, and then I had to decide between Zone Enders and Onimusha Tactics. It ended up being an easy choice, ZE has a terrible combat system, and I just have to ask who the hell thought that sort of thing would fit in a turn-based game. Onimusha features Capcom's usual butchering of Japanese history and folklore (hello Sengoku Basara), but is actually and properly turn-based. Yay.

Never played Zaero. Hell, recently was the first time i'd ever beaten any of those really. I was pretty much console only for years and only really got into PC gaming about 2008 near the beginning of gog.

Piranjade: Shameless plug:
Today I'll play D&D as part of a charity stream for cancer research on ArvanEleron's channel in 12 hours (7pm CEST). I'm pretty nervous. But also excited.

Tomorrow I might play some Massive Chalice.
Good luck! :)
Sounds like a good state to be.

...

weekend playlist:
1. UW: Savage Empire - with lots of note writing in a AbiWord document
2. Deadly Tower of Monsters
3. Mercenary Kings
+ ? :)
Finally decided it's time to give the PS4 some loving and made a start on Bloodborne today. I have a feeling it's going to keep me occupied for a while to come.
Gonna explore the remaining question marks on the HoS DLC in The Witcher 3 (and get used to the controls again) in preparation for the BaW DLC. I'll need to balance it out with a nice adventure game. Might try Kathy Rain, it sure looks nice.
I started playing Diablo yesterday. The first one. I've played just a little, I am in the first dungeon of the game. Good first impressions so far.
Hope to start and finish Fran Bow this weekend... (Finished Stasis earlier this week...loved it btw.)

Edit - Planar Conquest [aka - World of Magic fixed] is supposed to come out Monday (a holiday here)... that may take priority if it's not delayed.

I'm trying to get through Beat Blasters 3. And while I like the design, the music and the concept of the game, I have to say that some of the missions are extremely tedious and frustrating.

Also still playing Stardew Valley (year one is over) and I will try to make some progress with Grim Fandango Remastered.

Yes.
The Civ6 announcement made me remember how much I enjoyed the classic Civ games, and what a disappointment Civ5 & Beyond Earth were to me.
Work this weekend. Playing a little Painkiller, but not much.
Witcher 3!

maladr0Id: As far as the optimization goes, well I'm no expert, but my machine can handle Witcher 3 without breaking much of a sweat and Remember Me loses frames and chops up in certain places (especially during some camera pans/repositionings). I call foul!

omega64: Do you have Vsync turned off?
Vsync is a bit weird in that game.
Might be the cause of your troubles.

After some more searching, some people's issues were resolved after unplugging their controllers. O_o
Weird.
Weird indeed. I have Vsync on, perhaps I should try turning it off for a spell and see if there's any improvement. No plugged-in controllers in sight, though. I'm m/k-ing the heck out of it (like I do in 99.9% of the games) and it works well enough, except during the memory sequences that feel astonishingly counter-intuitive >.<

Yeah, it really was made for a controller. Which is why I used one. :P
Some consideration for M/K players would've been appreciated though.
Let me know if turning that off fixes it, quite curious at this point. ;)
Been playing the Solomon's Key series for whatever reason (Solomon's Key, Solomon's Club, and Fire n Ice)

Solomon's Key has a reputation for being a ball buster, but Club's actually pretty easy and Fire n Ice hasn't been too difficult so far (cleared the first 50 levels). It's actually kind of weird to think of it as part of the same series despite the similar block creation mechanic.

also trying to see how far I can get into Catrap, since I used to think I could only get about 40 or 50 levels in.
