Which games are keeping you company this weekend?

Whoa, it's the weekend already?! That means less time spent on meeting deadlines and more time spent on meeting our untimely virtual deaths! Or building stuff. Or solving puzzles. Or scoring goals. Or doing other cool stuff that our fleshy selves cannot (yet) accomplish.

So which games are keeping you busy these days?
Go on, share your Weekend Playlists with us. They can include single-player games, multiplayer games, console exclusives, anything - we are not judging. In fact, we are sharing too!

Looking for some inspiration, perhaps? The GOG.com releases of the week are here for you:

- You can hop around the enchanting, dimly-lit rooms of Lumo
- You can turn hordes of monsters into piles of sweet loot in Torchlight II
- You can revisit a recently updated galaxy and become the new Master of Orion
- You can slice, dodge, and jump your way to your queen in Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight
- You can build unlikely machines that might or might not fly in SimplePlanes
- You can terrorize the streets as the uncontrollable OmniBus
- You can leave your mark in the architectural history of the world in Caesar™ IV

Random_Coffee: I've played a couple of hours of Deadly Premonition now. The man sees the future in his coffee.. I love it! :D Too bad I couldn't get the controller working in the game though. I was looking forward to playing it from the couch.
I'm pretty sure you need to turn it on in the launcher.
Finished (and quite enjoyed) System Shock 2 last weekend. This weekend it is STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl.

This game is HARD :(
Will probably be at it a couple more weekends to come.

I did. No luck. Some buttons work fine (A, B, Start), but the sticks and triggers don't work at all in-game. I'm using a Xbox 360-controller.

Weird, have you tried starting the game with it unplugged?
Just plug it in after starting.

Starting the game with the controller unplugged (and enabled in the launcher) crashes the game. Unplugging it and plugging it in again while in-game didn't work either :/

Lol even weirder. XD
I'm assuming you're using dpfix. Did you recently install the game? DP had more issues if you didn't restart your pc afer install/playing the first time.

Dpfix? Never heard of it. I installed it two days ago. I did not restart the PC after installing, how could I know the game was broken? :P I haven't had any issues so far though, except for the controller not working.

Proper resolutions instead of upscaling.
Restart your pc already. ;)
Backup your save once in a while, trust me on this.
Not sure if you've gotten past a certain hospital part yet that will more than likely crash the game.

Thanks! :) Proper resolutions and sharper graphics is working nicely. I haven't gotten to the hospital-part yet, we'll see how it goes. Backing up saves is sound advice, I'll do that every now and then :) Unfortunately, the controller still doesn't work :( Argh, I guess I'll just play it with keyboard and mouse then :P

Edit: There is a keybindings-document for dpfix. I might have to bind the controls myself if I want to use a controller.

omega64: Let me know if turning that off fixes it, quite curious at this point. ;)

maladr0Id: Nope. If there's any noticeable performance change, I can't spot it.

On a more positive note, the game is pretty enjoyable so far. Shame the diverse gameplay elements don't quite mesh.
"Sorry" to nose in like a B-52 Bomber in ya reply but...
Update: ended up playing RoM thru lan for 2 hours. Couldn't be happier!
Yes, Pajama Sam (1st game) is history and you should definitely try it ;p --- Same goes for Prisoner of Ice (gotta be a cool game to finish since I barely touched it, HUEEEE) ;P
Yes, Buzz Aldrin's SPM is amazing, playing it as we speak ;)
Yes. Ended up playing Castlevania 64 (legacy of darkness, gooby pls) onPJ64/x360 wireless/headphones/2h of total play + controller being reeeeally finnicky BUT I overcame it.
Instead of all the other games. Yes. And IT WAS SUPERB. Never an n64 emulator made me so happy, gotta admit.

(That's it)

butcherbay: Diablo 2 most of the time. Plants vs zombies. Getting into 2 worlds.
Two (green) thumbs up!

...get it? Green...because of PvZ...no?...:(
No one posted these fine games yet. So, my weekend consisted of
Trine 3 followed by
Trine 2
It's mostly Stellaris (please get that released over here too1) and 8-Bit Armies.

Man, I don't think I've played anything on LAN since...Starcraft? Oh yeah, those were the days - 3vs3 till the dead of night and beyond :P

@vicklemos, it's clear that you loved Pajama Sam and it looks like a kid-friendly game. Would you say it's also a girl-friendly game? Looking for some cute/accessible point'n'click to sneakily ease my gf into the genre ;)

In other news, I am very satisfied with my choice to try Remember Me this weekend. It's a bit rough around the edges but it reminds me of my beloved Beyond Good & Evil (I also enjoyed Enslaved: Odyssey to the West for similar reasons). Sadly, the inexplicable performance hiccups persist, no matter what options I tweak from the menu :/
