Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Cavalary: Big increase there! And since they don't have CA$ as currency, how's that justified?
avatar
moonshineshadow: Well, you could ask the same question for the Region CH, it is not like gog supports CHF ;-)
So the answer is, that it is gog logic.
Was referring to the fact that the number of regionally priced games in Canada jumped from 2 to 40 with the occasion of a conversion rate change. The CH change seems mostly in line with the EU (and EUR) one.

mrkgnao: From MaGog's logs for 13 April:

Another conversion rate change; another bagload of regional USD price adjustments. And it's a big one. See attached files (change jpg to txt) for the gory details.

The graphics you attached seem to be broken, browser says that they cannot be shown because of failures.

Another interesting fact is the way NO and GB move in an opposite direction to the rest of Europe, percent-wise.

You need to download them and change the format to .txt

They are not graphics. They are text files. Change jpg to txt.

Does this mean that DE / NL / MC is the on average most expensive region now? Or are there more expensive regions which are missing from this list?

Yes. DE is currently the most expensive region. NL and MC are an infinitesimally tiny fraction cheaper.

You can see all the regions in Table VIII. The more relevant column to your question is the rightmost one.

Very interesting tables. Thanks for the link!

When I said that I wanted more German special versions this was not what I had in mind :(

Yay! We are the winner. First soccer world champions and now price world champions. You have to love this country!
Strange how we still have a pretty high level of unemployment and just recently introduced minimum wage since we all seem to have soooooooo much money.

I hate regional pricing :(

A full price that's not .x9? That... doesn't happen, does it?

The recent conversion rate update introduced this "anomaly". There are now at least a couple of hundreds of games having non-x9 prices in one or more regions. Forgot to mention that in my post.
